I'm going to hide out on this forum from now on

At an old forum of mine there was a guy who brought his girlfriend to forum. Eventually they broke up...he got banned for being a complete **** and she is still a mainstay on the forum.

Love and the internet go together like comedy and Carlos Mencia...which is to say, sometimes they work out, but most of the time it's just sad.

You're being pretty easy on Carlos "beaner" Mencia there, don't you think?

You all are crazy. I know two married couples who had net courtships. They're so perfect for each other it's scary. In both cases they've actually immigrated to be with their spouses. That being said, I've known several net couples (I had one, heh) that didn't work at all. But the same could be said of any relationship of any kind. You've got no lesser chance of meeting a creep or a liar when you're picking up somebody from a coffee shop or a library or a club. That's the way things work.

Heh, at my other board, the admins met each other and got married. They're nice people.

In fact, at that board we've got quite a few couples.

Is it some kind of dating forum? because in that case it makes alot of sense..

Nah, it's a forum devoted to a specific band. The admin couple met online before the board even existed, in another forum devoted to that band. The nice thing about a setting like that is the people you meet via the board are going to have similar interests as you. I don't see it as being any different from meeting a significant other in school. They're just contexts for social interaction.

On a more serious note I used to go to one anime forum where one of the moderators(man) and one of the regulars(woman) started to date. I

Age difference is irrelevant but telling someone's intimate facts without permission is not. That is just being a bitter a-hole.

Sounds better than television.

It depends, is it American Television, British Television, or Spanish Television?

Eeek! :)

Seriously though, I know some people that met over by internet and they fit perfectly together. :)

"Mkreku's just mad 'cause the Swedes wussed out of WW2."

The smart thing to do all things considered. Or if you had no choice you could just put up a token defence and profit off the Germans, like we did. Small countries can't afford heroism, they adapt or get annihilated. Just look at Poland, the place was one big crater after the war.

*cough cough*

Not that I'm nationalistic or anything (if my memory works I did quite a lot bitching in old "what do you hate about in your country" topic) but we fared well against USSR

... still, it was (or is, whatever) quite crappy always being meat shield for wussy swedes in case Big Ol' Bear of east decided to go aggressive

Yes, but you fought an untested red army straigth out of the Stalin purges that didn't know its head from its ass, and you had tactical, defensive and territorial advantages. Denmark is flat as a pancake and had nothing at all that would stand up against German panzer.

It does have to be said that the Finns did rather take on the entire Soviet Army, and kicked the bejaysus out of them.

Which has nothing to do with marriage. I hope.

Ah bukkake. I thought that was a Japanese thing. :o

Did... did she just say 'ah bukkake'? o_O

Yeah, but I bet it's just a hobby of hers. Nothing to worry about.

I remember when the discovery channel was nothing but programs about ww2 tanks and informecials. Good times.

Now it's only about outdoorsy types eating ants and drinking their own urine, and stupid bike and car building shows.

saorry gorgon but your wrong the Discovery Chanel does have a wide varriety of shows. And those building shows you mentioned are now on TLC.

The discovery network is several chanels sum are discovery chanel, discovery health, the science chanel, TLC, the military chanel and a bunch of other chanels I can't remember. I'm guesing the wwII shows are now on the military chanel.

In sumation it seams you do not watch the Discovery channel.

Your not all ways being honest when your telling the truth.
