Shadowstrider Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 "Patriots always talk of dying for their country, and never of killing for their country." - attributed to Bertrand Russell "There was never a good war or a bad peace." - Ben Franklin "Untutored courage is useless in the face of educated bullets." - George Patton "Now I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. You won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country." - George Patton "All blame, no fame." - No idea who said this. Gromnir's signature George Bernard Shaw quote, too.

SteveThaiBinh Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 (edited) Bushisms. Do you know any good sites? It's a while since I looked for them, and there must be a few new ones by now. Here's a quote that I only saw recently, but definitely a favourite: "Far more beguiling to me than the idea that evil can be destroyed by throwing a piece of expensive costume jewellery into a volcano is the possibility that peace between nations can be maintained by careful diplomacy." It's a while since I looked for them, and there must be a few new ones by now.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, because I don't actually look for stuff like that. A mate of mine showed me a clip of Bush's talk on tribal soverignty which was on 'http://www.ebaumsworld.com/'. I've checked this site out before, and there are other Bushisms, but the tribal soverignty one is the funniest one on that site IMO. You'd probably be able to find some Bushisms on youtube, but beyond that, I don't know. Edited January 5, 2007 by The Architect

Musopticon? Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 We are the music-makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
