deganawida Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I wonder if there was a console command that could have helped you out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought of that, but decided just to go ahead with my planned restart. It kind of sucks, but I wasn't that happy with some decisions that I'd made earlier in the game.
taks Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 (edited) i think there is a way to respawn, and thus reset, NPCs. check gamefaqs for the code (assuming the NWN1 codes are the same/similar). taks Edited November 16, 2006 by taks comrade taks... just because.
Diamond Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Such an assertion failure does not necessarily mean that the game has a memory leak. My (professional) guess is that there is an assertion in the code which assumes available memory is equal to X before creating a new instance of an object. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually I think it can, as they use some kind of homebrew memory manager.
Volourn Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 (edited) I wish certain people would stop trying to palce NWN1 on the same level as TOEE, BL, or other extremely buggy games. NWN1 had its shre of bugs; but nowher eenaras that bad. Neither is NWN2. Though, NWN2 seems to have more major bugs than NWN1 did (for me) in the OC. Most of my NWN1 bugs came from MP. I really loved the lag bug that caused your character to warp into another model on ther screen. I kinda miss it even! NWN2 doesn't seem to have any funny bugs; just annoying ones or downright 'gameenders'. Edited November 16, 2006 by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
roshan Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 This simply sucks.... I dont think any game has ever had a worse release. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> uh, toee anyone, ultima 9 anyone, pool of radiance anyone, bloodlines anyone, NWN1 anyone??? i can see now how you manage to label the rest of us fanboys. from your obvious prejudice, anyone else is _obviously_ just a fanboy. if you hate this game so much, STOP PLAYING IT!!! sheesh... taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually I wanted to stop playing the game and start building my own module. But it seems that I cant.
