Darth Launch Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I managed to find my ten-year-old K album after fearing the worst for a few months now :D To celebrate, I'm currently listening to Kula Shaker's Hollow Man, Pts. 1 &2... yay! OO-TINI!
Dark_Raven Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Chiasm "Disorder" Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Surreptishus Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Yes, all comic book geek/rap fans will be giggling. I'll assume you are being funny and not explain the origin of the phrase "kingdom come". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I mean, I get where he's coming from... Superman|Jigga popping out of exile to save the world|rap game, and whatnot... but it's just so, uhm, nerdy. Like, I'd expect this kind of thing from Alternative-rap, cause those guys are, typically, huge effing nerds, and really, there's nothing less pimp|hustla|whatever than comic-books. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you being sarcastic?
Darth Drabek Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Razorlight -Fall To Pieces <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yesssss! I'm not sure if liking Razorlight makes me cooler, or if they should be considered a guilty pleasure. I think they used to be cool, and now they're sellouts. Or something like that. The Twilight Singers - Roses It's a cover of the Outkast song. Caroline.... she's the reason for the word "bitttttch" baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Darth Drabek Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 (edited) Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh man, that song rocks so hard. I was in the car the other day flipping through the stations, and I heard an awful corporate country cover of Ryan Adams' "When the Stars Go Blue." It turned out to be Tim McGraw, he of the barbeque stain on his white t-shirt. Terrible. Thing is, I wouldn't have thought it was so bad if I hadn't known and loved the original first. Kind of like the original "Gone Daddy Gone," except that Gnarls Barkley actually did a good job with the song. Kor Qel Droma Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Amos Lee - Colors Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Velvet Crush - Keep On Lingerin' please don't say you'll miss me when I'm gone 'cos I'm not sure I'm built to last that long but maybe here tonight the white lines steerin' me right and we'll keep on lingerin' on Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Baley Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 (edited) Are you being sarcastic? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Um, about him naming his album after a comic-book, or about the moniker, or better yet - since I doubt the average gent on the street will get the reference - the association, being utterly un-hustla|gansta|whatever posture mainstream hip-hop's sloshing themselves over these days, baffling to the eye|mind|soul, and sorta funny? Musopticon? Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Borknagar - Oceans Rise I never got it why this was called Borknagar's worst, when Empiricism is about as ****ty as you can get and when Quintessence is only mediocre. I consider it their second best. Althought I have yet to hear the acoustic album. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears.
