metadigital Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Actually, I saw it on the 'plane over to Vegas, and I thought it was okay. It's a stoner movie, though. But not bad. Preview: Snakes on a Plane OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT

astr0creep Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 The Mysterious Island. With Patrick Stewart as Nemo. If you can get over the extra crappy special effects it's not so bad. Oh and it's a Halmark Special television movie... :"> http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/

Darth Launch Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I've been working my way through the Rambo movies very slowly... will have to fit in the last one at some point next week if I have time The 80s was the best for awesome action movies (amongst other movie genres) :D OO-TINI!
metadigital Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ah, Rambo. The titles are a dead giveaway; meaning they correlate perfectly with the degree of silliness that the film embodies: First Blood Rambo: First Blood, Part II Rambo [iI: First Blood, Part] III. Of course it is possible for a single man to shoot down a helicopter gunship. With a bow and arrow. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Darth Drabek Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I need to see me some snakes. Preferably on planes. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Laozi Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) I watched Ghost World on the WE network. I made sure that both of my cats were in attendance to make the experience authentic. Not to bad, a young Scarlett Johanson, the Thorn girl was a vision, I think I caught a pregnant woman smoking a cigarette in the background of one of the scenes. The art teacher and the white blues singer were golden. Edited August 21, 2006 by Laozi People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Darth Drabek Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ghost World was a great flick. Of course, Steve Buscemi is one of the best actors in the universe. Phone's ringing, Dude. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Gfted1 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby Ug, it was gawdawful. I can count on one finger the amount of times I laughed. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Krookie Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I liked that movie, it had everyone in the theatre I was in laughing. "Thank you baby Jesus for our two sons...Walker, and Texas Ranger...Or T.R. as he's been come to be known as" C'mon...That's gold!
LadyCrimson Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Of course, Steve Buscemi is one of the best actors in the universe. Yes! Another Buscemi fan! Of course it is possible for a single man to shoot down a helicopter gunship. With a bow and arrow. If it's the right bow and arrow, of course. I remember a highschool chum dragging me to see Rambo2 at the drive-in, and then she complained that the drive-in wasn't dark enough and you couldn't see all the gushy-violent parts. “Things are as they are. WinterSun Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Of course it is possible for a single man to shoot down a helicopter gunship. With a bow and arrow. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Something which I felt was lacking in Far Cry. master of my domain Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo.

Deraldin Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Just got back from seeing Snakes on a Plane. It was on the biggest screen in the theatre and I had the entire place to myself. Kick back, relax and laugh.
alanschu Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Yeah. It was pretty barren in our theatre as well. Which is good, because it allows for comfortable discourse about the movie while it happens, without annoying anyone

"
alanschu Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I wouldn't recommend seeing it alone. I just saw it with my roommate. But we knew full well what we were getting into and it was good fun

Nartwak Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Is this the Steve Buscemi appreciation thread? Cause that guy's good. The last movie I saw with him was The Island.
Pidesco Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Buscemi also has the habit of getting supporting roles in really crappy movies. He's usually the only bright part of those movies. Pidesco Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 If I could be any actor in the world, I'd be Steve Buscemi. Even if he looks like he couldn't get laid to save his own life.
