Walsingham Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 http://img.dailymail.co.uk/video/cabbie.wmv The BBC mistakenly bring the cab driver sent to get a technology 'expert' onto the set. The thing I love is that despite his trouble with English he basically gets across the key points. Either he's a smart cookie, or the experts talk toffee. :D "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
Nick_i_am Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 London cabbies > technology experts. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)

Judge Hades Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I read about this in the paper the other day. Hilarious.
Calax Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 it's kinda funny... it seems more like she's trying to talk around him rather than with him. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
213374U Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Yeah, I saw this in the news. They also showed a picture of the actual expert. Nice how nobody noticed that the white, middle-aged, thin technology expert they were expecting had somehow turned into a large, young black fellow. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Judge Hades Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Well, that's british news. In America the News service gains the information before anyone else, including government intelligence. In Britain, the news service is just oblivious.
kirottu Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 YAY. Let This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.

Surreptishus Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I am hoping that Hades was actually referring to tabloid papers with his remark and not the BBC.

Tigranes Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 But its true, American News gets information faster than anybody else! Then they don't report it. Gorth Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 A pro actor couldn't have handled it better than the poor guy, and yes his expression at the beginning is priceless. I would still prefer BBC as my news provider over any other news service in the world though “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Judge Hades Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 No offence, but that's the daftest thing I've heard for weeks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No offence taken. I was rather fatigued when I wrote that. Night shifts really messes up one's sleep schedule.

Judge Hades Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I work 10 PM to 8 AM Saturday through Tuesday, and I normally get about 4 to 6 hours a sleep a day.
Dark_Raven Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Four hours of sleep? No wonder you are always cranky. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Judge Hades Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 (edited) I really can't sleep longer than that. Holdover from when I was in the Navy. Edited May 20, 2006 by Judge Hades
Calax Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Personally I'd love that shift... and do you get 2 hrs overtime? Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
