I mean, I know people are pretty damned stupid, but if you intend to rob something, or do anything illegal, you don't dress in a manner that attracts attention. Especially the attention of police officers. I think they handled this perfectly. The kid didn't get shot, and it shows that law enforcement agencies are present and willing to act. I'd much rather have this then no police presence at all.
