Dawes ain't too bright. Hitting rock bottom is when you leave 2 tickets on the dash of your car, leave it unlocked hoping someone will steal them & when you come back, there are 4 tickets on your dashboard.

She was very ignorant and small-minded before Revan came along, but after her ordeal, be it Light or Dark Side, I think she was able to really open her mind. Even now she remains loyal to the person that helped her achieved a higher understanding.

Typical case of following an ideal blindly and never questioning it.

 

The Order had to focus on maintaining Bastilla to the Light side, for use of her battle meditation. And truthfully they brainwashed her with stories of Revans past as she was older, Exar Kun and Ulic. Regardless of their intentions, the order was the cause of her fall at the hands of Malak.

 

Bastilla didn't have the problem, the Order had the problem.
