LadyCrimson Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I just blogged a little about that. I don't see the point of DST anymore. Does it really save energy these days? I think people here are just used to having it be light later for summer BBQ's... “Things are as they are. LadyCrimson Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 My hubby likes it...he's a big 'light' creature. He gets so happy now and so depressed over the change in the winter. All winter long, I get to hear about he hates the dark. “Things are as they are. Kaftan Barlast Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 It seems the bioclock is slow to accept it. Ive been sleeping very late since the savings kicked in. I still go to bed at the usual time but my body just goes "Oh, great. early bedtime, lets sleep some more then" DISCLAIMER: Do not take what I write seriously unless it is clearly and in no uncertain terms, declared by me to be meant in a serious and non-humoristic manner. Arclam Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 The clock beside my bed automatically switches. So I wake up early and have to switch it back. Why is there no "Arizona" option?
Atreides Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Haha, I gained an hour to finish my presentation and assignment. Though I wasted it Spreading beauty with my katana.
Fenghuang Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 You wouldn't be a good college student if you didn't! RIP
astr0creep Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 It totally sucks losing an hour. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But it's great gaining one in 6 months! :D http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
SteveThaiBinh Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 No Daylight Saving Time in Saudi Arabia. It would just be confusing, because prayer times are fixed in relation to sunrise and sunset and wouldn't be able to change with DST. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Surreptishus Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 DST isn't observed nearer the equator since the hours of daylight don't vary much throughout the whole year.
WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I hate DST.... i woke up way too early this morning.... "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Tendency for the human body to sleep later (approx. 1 hr) every day. 2. Sounds like you have a HUGE sleep debt, too. (Not surprising, given you are a student and that vocation precludes anything except drinking after dark.) OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Blarghagh Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 It didn't bother me this year. Then again, I was suffering from insomnia.
