karka Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 (edited) I checked your list..(Panzer Dragoon Saga, Skies of Arcadia, Phantasy Star, Dragon Force). And, don't expect a game from Obsidian like those games. Obsidian is completely different. Edited March 26, 2006 by karka
Judge Hades Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Welcome to the madhouse Sega-Soldier. AH, yes, Sega. I thought they were quite dead till I heard of the merger. I do have fond memories of my Sega Master System. *sigh* Frankly some of my favorite console RPGs were on Sega systems or their systems first. Phantasy Star 3, Lunar, Warriors of the Eternal Sun, and Dark Wizard to name a few. In any case I am very much interested in seeing what Obsidian and Sega come up with. It would be funny if it was a Sonic the Hedgehog CRPG done the same way Square did that Mario CRPG. HAHAHAHA!
Deadly_Nightshade Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 ewwww SEGA sucks, they are so lame dude! Nintendo 4EVA! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree that of the 2 Nintendo's better... but the PC pwns all! "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Judge Hades Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I never really liked Nitendo. I mean there was one game I liked on their 8 Bit system but that was pretty much it.
karka Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I would like to see a Revolution game from Obsidian. Some westernish RPG + revolutionary gameplay...good combination.
Calax Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 makes me wonder how the control scheme would work karka... Hello sega man... I'm gonna wait for the holy wars between the old systems to start up Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Judge Hades Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Sony Versus Microsoft! Whoever wins, Nintendo loses. :D
Bokishi Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Oh and hello sega man. I'm a sega fanboy myself, but I haven't admit that until now Current 3DMark

Bokishi Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I have heard that Obsidian make cracking RPGs and SEGAsRPG history is second to none. WTF? Surely you mean Bioware of Black Isle. You're talking about JRPG's aren't you? Here we like character RPG's (not the jap crap). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL you're wrong this time Jag. Panzer Dragoon Saga kicks lots of ass. You should play it if you can find it. Current 3DMark
sega-soldier Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 Hello, sega-soldier! Since you're here and new and all, I might as well take advantage of the situation. I thought SEGA died after the Dreamcast fiasco. What have they been doing all this time? What have you done for me lately?! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure heres whats going down: After the DreamCast SEGA went into a bit of a hard patch and ALMOST did go bankrupt but got back in the black. Alot of there titles after the DC were low budget nonsence to be honest But there has been some bloody awesome ones even in there bad patch. I'm a little bit shocked you havent heard of SEGA since the DC but then again they havent done much on PC, But thats about to Change BIG TIME. They merged with Sammy and now have ALOT of money and are planning on working with lots of westen companys and just baught TCA who make the Total War games.. which was a nice shock to me becuase I love total war. There moving in on the PC market.. Youll probably hear about some of there games comming to PC later such as: OutRun2, Condemned Criminal Origens, Phantasy Star Universe, Medieval 2 Total War and more. Here are some of the Highlight games they have made post DreamCast: 2002 - 2006: Jet Set Raido Future (9.1) Panzer Dragoon Orta (9.2) VirtuaFighter 4 Evolution (9.5) Sonic Rush (9.0) GunStar Super Heroes (9.0) Condemned Criminal Origens (8.7) Shenmue 2 (8.3) Virtua Tennis World Tour (8.5) Super Monkey Balls 2 (9.0) OurRun2 (8.2) Otogi 2 SEGA also have alot of GREAT games set to come out soon: Yakuza Which has done AMAZINGLY in Japan set in japans Gang Culture supposed to play like a mixture of Shenmue and GTA but with more things to do in a massive city. http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?game=yakuza Chrome Hounds Mech game, build massive Mechs out of thousands of parts and fight on a battle feild Online in a group vs another Group. http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?game=chromehounds Out Run 2006 Coast 2 Coast Arcade Style Racers all about Power Slides and impressing woman (Comming to PC) http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?game=outrun2006 Condemned Crinimal Origins The PC version.. (Awesome Enemy AI) http://www.sega.com/games/game_mature_popu...?game=condemned Phantasy Star Universe This is a true seuqal to Phantasy Star Online which was the first ever Online RPG on console. Its got a full online mode which plays alot like Guild Wars and a full offline Story Driven JRPG about 60-70 hours long story. (COMMING TO PC! I cant wait for this one!) http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?game=psu Medieval 2 Total War Oh yeah! Medieval was my favorite Total War and now it gets a second one that looks AMAZING! http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?game=medieval2 There are also quite a few other games, like Virtua Fighter 5, House of the Dead 4 Sonic the Hedgehog Remake of the Orignal but we dont know much about them yet. Wait Untill E3 SEGA will deffinitly impress this year. ANYWAY, Hope that helped.
Bokishi Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Hey sega man, what's the deal with shenmue 3? Current 3DMark
baby arm Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Dark Wizard and Snatcher on the Sega CD were wonderful. "Seriously, this is the crankiest bunch of forum trolls I've ever known" As one of the Codex losers, I resent that statement.
sega-soldier Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 Hey sega man, what's the deal with shenmue 3? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At the momment, No news =( But did you hear about Shenmue Online for PC? There making an MMO of Shenmue where you can travel around Aisa and you train in different fighting Arts.. An MMO that plays like Shenmue, Im deffinitly in. I think you can go around China, Japan and the 2 Korieas all set in 1987
sega-soldier Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 Id say that would be pretty interesting but They would have to be in close contact with Yu Sasuki from SEGA because he has already written the hole story. Which is 16 chapters long. (but more then one chapter per game)
