If it's an interesting political commentary, perhaps, but those lines are simply horrendous, they're pointless and the only thing they aim at is being flashy for the sake of being flashy, style over substance, just horrible.

I think they're gonna rape Moore again.

Not to offend, but that's exactly the reason why I posted what I posted.

I love flashy stuff as much as the next weirdo, but there has to be a point behind it, something to demonstrate, something to show, those lines mean nothing, they're engineered to dazzle the masses.

Hooblahoo. What if you'd just take the movie as it's intended: entertainment?

Have you read the comics?

I haven't, but as far as I understand you have every reason to be angry and offended if and when the movie adaptation didn't match the point Moore tried to get across.

V was a commentary on Tatcherian England, wasn't it?

Apparently not going to see Munich today anymore. Hmm.

They seem to be turning V into an action hero with the "ambiguous" morality of a bloody pope, of course I'm pissed, and the Wachowskis are the "masters" of ****ty over-bloated writing.

Everything written by Wachowskis after the first Matrix is crap, aight? :p

No, just about everything they've written is ****, maybe except Bound, cause that has Jennifer Tilly/Gina Gershon lesbian sex.

Phantom of the Opera (newer one). I just got it on DVD.

It's brilliant, I thought.

Yes it was good, for a musical. I normally do not watch musicals but this one was quite good with the music and performance.

Gabrielle should watch more musicals.

Why? They are usually dull and boring. Are you a musical lover Bok?

The Nutcraker is good since I like the music of it.

Why not?

I liked it,f or what's worth.

And um, enough with the hipster cra`p, Baely. okthxbai

I absolutely loved V for Vendetta. I didn't think it was contrite or overdramatized. It had a nice mix of action, activism, and emotion. It's difficult not to love a guy who is clearly insane.

Recently watched Lord of War. Nice mix of black humour and drama.

Yep, I like mainstream cinema.)

I just got back from a midnight showing of Donnie Darko an hour ago.

It was at this rad old theater downtown with paintings on the ceiling and stuff.

The movie was fun, almost made me cry but then it had me in stitches the next moment.

Total mindf*** though.

V for Vendetta - a big bunch of average.

So it's worth watching?

Eight Legged Freaks, which was better than I expected it to be.

So it's worth watching?

Possibly... it has its highlights but it is also quite dull in places.
