Slowtrain
Gangrel aren't nearly as powerful as they would appear to be with their combination of fortitude and protean, although if you max them both out and max your unarmed skill they are pretty touch and can take damage. Mostly as you point out their hand to hand attacks are so slow, and if you are going to play Gangrel you are almost locked into unarmed since why bother with a gangrel if you're not going to rip things apart with your claws. Far and away the best unarmed clan is Brujah, followed by Nosferatu, Toreador, Ventrue, Gangrel. SOme disciplines are just a wee bit unbalanced for the game (hello, celerity!). Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. Spider
They're just being faithful to the source material. Celerity is quite unbalanced in PnP as well (epsecially before revised edition was released). I have no idea how it's like in Requiem though (which is not the same as revised). Spider
I actually had pretty good loading times (on this computer). All I can say is that I love my Raptor. Although when on a computer that had problems with loading times, it was Downtown and not Santa Monica that was the biggest problem.
Gabrielle
Downtown and Santa Monica were major issues with me. And sometimes my computer would do a hard crash as it was loading.

I have that problem on my other computer and I would take the guess it's the video card. The card is a ATI 9200. This computer has an ATI 9500 and it doesn't do it. Might be your card not being able to handle it.

I have a 6600GT video with dual channel 1gig ram and a amd64 3000+; bloodlines played smooth with fairly quick load times. This is with highest eye candy on. Deleting your cache, temp folders and defragging helps. May also want to turn down eye candy. Musopticon?
Nah, not much. You have a gig of ram(well, almost). Should work ok. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I have a high end system that is above specs and it's still slow. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Load times got to the point I almost gave up playing since it was taking, literally, minutes for each area to load. Then it was so choppy that if there was an enemy there after the area loaded, I'd be pounded with about 4 or 5 shots before I even had control over my character. Musopticon?
Easiest is Brujah, but only if you're going for a melee build. I recommend starting as a Ventrue(great speaker, ok melee) and then play as malkavian, cos it's fun as hell. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Judge Hades
Malkavian is the most fun, though I finished the game with a Toreador. Celerity rules! To bad you can't make a custom vampire. I would love to have combination of Potence, Celerity, and Obsfscate (msp?).
Slowtrain
To bad you can't make a custom vampire. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I always wished that as well, but it would ruin the point of having clans in the first place since they are mostly defined by their discplines. Guest MacLeodCorp
Bloodlines. Love the game. It has a great story, quests are good, character creation and leveling up is some of the best there is. The sound track and music are grade A excellence. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I opened up the directory to find out that there is a folder called Licensed. They placed all the sound track files in .mp3 format. I am curently playing them over and over.... This game has to have one of the best soundtracks. Not 'the' best, but one of the best. Irony, some of the people who made this game now work for Obsidian Ent. 'M' for Mature..... Hehehe....
