Darque Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 hmm weird, they had 96 and 2000 listed on EB, typo I guess. I stand corrected! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you have played Morrowind you'd have known that was a typo to begin with A game like Morrowind probably wasn't even possible in 96
Kalfear Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 hmm weird, they had 96 and 2000 listed on EB, typo I guess. I stand corrected! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you have played Morrowind you'd have known that was a typo to begin with A game like Morrowind probably wasn't even possible in 96 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> err as i said, played it for a less then a week and put it down, was all that interesting to me. And A game like Morrowind probably wasn't even possible in 96? LOL, far as graphics go, yup it was, far as story goes, yup it was. Hell some of those first creatures you meet just outside of port town look comparable to some old EGA graphic games! Whole game looked like a early FPS to me to be honest. Whats so special about it that you think it wasnt doable at 96? I just dont follow Im afraid. Where talking Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind right? Kalfear Disco and Dragons Avatar Enlarged

ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Should have posted one with the water effects :D I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327

Daggerfall (Elder Scrolls 2) came out in 1996: Morrowind (Elder Scrolls 3) came out in 2002: There's just no way they could have done Morrowind's graphics in 1996. Tigranes Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 pr'haps he's counting blackguard and those other inbetween things. hm. although, i must say, take out the horrible pixelisation and daggerfall doesn't look that much worse there. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Surreptishus Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 The 2D sprite tree looks excellent ^_^
mkreku Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 The 2D sprite tree looks excellent ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup! And the best part was that everything except buildings were sprites, and you could walk right through them!! Well, almost everything. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 It saved time weaving between them. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Epiphany Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Thing is I've yet to see a 360 run well at least in HD. Everything seems to have frame issues and the HD just seems to emphasise this. Could be hardware, but not much I could do about that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You've not seen near final builds running then.
Darque Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 So... now that people have played the 360... was Epiphany right? I find it strange he hasn't returned to the forums since the 360 was released. "

I find it strange he hasn't returned to the forums since the 360 was released. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It could be possible that he was hired to go onto the forums and post. Now that the game has been released, it's not necessary. I remember a guy that was clearly hired to post his party's propaganda during an election on one forum. Once the election results had been come in, he just upped and vanished like a fart in the wind. Though I have a feeling that's not the case with Epiphany.
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Maybe he got fired. He did more harm than good to the 360 case anyway. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Dark Moth Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I'm inclined to think he's still playing the thing and has just forgotten about these forums.
Darque Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 That's odd though, given how much he hyped it... you'd expect him to come back and brag "or" try to do damage control.
Surreptishus Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 (edited) Well he was last active earlier today... This message was brought to you by StalkCo Edited November 28, 2005 by Surreptishus
alanschu Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I would have figured there'd be some sort of OMGz0rs statement from him.
Jedihuh? Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Games for xbox and ps2 used to be 70 dollars when they first came out as well so Im not surprised that these games are the prices they are. hell 64 games used to be that much when it first came out 2.
