And he has definitely shown bigotry in the past. I do find some of his comments racist, like his comment about 50% of Israelis being racist, as well as his comment about most evil people he's met being white. We all looked at the posts and found them to be controversial, inarticulate, biased and generally rude but not racist. Fact is that Nurbs has the right to express his opinion as long as he does not violate forum rules, which we found that he has not. Why should he be able to call all Europeans "Jew Haters", then complain on Nurbs post... Not saying I agree with either If you lived in a country that was attacked by pretty much everyone around it shortly after it was created and alongside people who wanted you wiped off the map I bet you would be xenophobic too. People have always persecuted Jews in some form so some sort of xenophobia is perfectly understandable. Even "friends" have turned on them or turned a blind eye when it let them off paying their debts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. It gets me how much anti-semitism I see in Europe, and I've never understood why. I understand the hatred on both sides of the Palestinean/Isreali conflict, but why do Europeans hate Jews so much? Is it possible remenants from Jews being rich and controlling banks? Possibly. Though that's partially why I respect Jews so much as they encourage the study of science. They are scholars who don't try to convert the world to make money. They discourage converts. Society isn't always peachy-keen nor jelly bean, and it's not always going to be to your liking. Private message board, can do what they want, yada yada yada. Bottom line is, there are always going to be intolerant people or, even moreso, people you don't agree with. Debate the issues with 'em straight-up and agree to disagree if it comes down to it, but tugging on teacher's skirts and complaining that the glue-sniffer was being mean to you just isn't called for. And I will point out once more that Americans do not comprise a racial group. A nationality, in a sense, but not a race. Getting ticked off because people outside the US don't think it's the greatest thing since the toaster oven is not only incredibly naive, it's also incredibly naive. Let's look at this: It gets me how much anti-semitism I see in Europe, and I've never understood why. If I was using the same kind of rethorics as Ender, I would say this was a pretty blatant attempt to mark Europeans as antisemitic.
