A B-list pseudo RPG with a thousand bugs? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been told German gamers have a tendency to exagerate the value of German games due to the lack of overall good games; anything they get they cling on to. So it might have been just hype and a desire to like the game as opposed to the game's own merits. The Fall was apparently as bad as other Silver Style games, even buggier on release, but fans kept dismissing that. All these patches are supposed to make the game much more playable... But from what I've heard of the game I'm not sure I'd want to play it in any case. That whole Fall/Fallout 3 whoring left a bitter aftertaste to boot. And, considering that Bethesda's prime series the ESC are amongst the buggiest games ever; their 'production values' aren't anything to praise either. In the future, after an unspecified climatic catastrophe, the world is a wasteland. Lots of raiders and bandits are free to rob, maim and murder. That is what they do with the PC's family and that is what causes his lust for revenge. The PC proceeds to walk through the wastes to some place called the "new government" that is nothing but a waste dump from where the self appointed president (which is a part-time farmer) is trying to unite the wasteland. Obviously, he's happy to have a new mercenary willing to get shot for him. And thus, you embark on your crusade to avenge your family and stuff. I didn't really get much into the story, as I installed and uninstalled the game in the same day. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
