EnderAndrew Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 http://soaos.sf.net/ The game seem very inspired by Baldur's Gate. I played the initial free chaper, but never purchased the full version. Now it looks like we'll all be able to play the full game for free on Windows, Linux and Mac OS.

I remember quite vividly discovering that whatever that piece of paper was that entitled you for really crappy gear in the beginning could be sold for tons of money and those tons of money could be used to buy really good gear. 9/30 -- NEVER FORGET!

An 'L' got dropped because when my e-mail address got set up, the person setting it up put it as "alanschu" However, I stayed with it because I got used to it and seems more balanced than "allanschu" It just sort of stuck. I'm curious how people pronounce it actually haha

EnderAndrew Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 Open source is always free. If they release the source code, then you can grab it and compile it for free. And if people are nice, then they release precompiled versions as well.
