STDSkillz Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I honestly believe this patch was ready the day the game was released. I'm just questioning the timing of it all, is all. Just doesn't make sense to me.
Baley Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I wonder why the patch was released now? To shut us up? Some people can never shut up bout the game's problems
Silvershadow Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I honestly believe this patch was ready the day the game was released. I'm just questioning the timing of it all, is all. Just doesn't make sense to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *shrug*They probably had to check and re-check everything twice. The way people were whining about not having a patch around here, can you imagine how it would've been had the patch been released and it didn't work properly? Also, you really have no way of knowing that the patch was ready the day the game was released. This is just a theory you have. Please review my fanfic! STDSkillz Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Haha, that is unfortunately true--every game gets its complaints.

Patzman Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 The french version patch is not ready... I shall try even tomorrow.
phiont Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Also, you really have no way of knowing that the patch was ready the day the game was released. This is just a theory you have. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And you have had no opportunity to find out that the patch is ready and working now. This is just a theory you have. Let's just hope your assumption is correct.

LadyCrimson Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Ok...all cleaned out/defragged/patched ready to go! If I notice anything wildly cool, I'll mention it. But I probably won't. Reveilled Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Uh-oh. No mention of a dialogue skip fix. That's bad. That's very bad. Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!
Carrie Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Too bad it doesn't fix the issue I just hit. I'm stuck on the Ravager because the location point for the 4th proton core won't trigger <_< Nice to hear about the Nar Shaddaa issue, I hit that a couple go-rounds ago as well.
Carrie Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Yes. I got the 4th core out of the missile bay, and it promptly wouldn't trigger the 4th point. I put cores in both the 'exposed' outside areas, and on one side of that cavein. But the other one is supposed to go on the opposite side of the cavein from the one, and that point is /not/ triggering. :/ Dun matter now anyway, I gotta botched with savegame editor, now I gotta play Citadel over again. I'll see if it happens another time.
Razorfish Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 how does one install the patch? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Either run the launcher and select the "Update" option from the menu, or run swupdate.exe from your game dir to get the patch. User Name Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 so nothing is to be done with the .zip it downloads? N
Bounce Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 huh? It should patch automatically, not download a zip ..
User Name Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 all that happens for me is that this file sw_pc_english_from200424_to210427.zip is downloaded to a temp folder in the swkotor2 directory N
Bounce Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I'm not 100% sure it's gonna work, but you could extract the files from the zip and overwrite all files in your K2 dir. But I dunno cause I cant see what the zip contains.
Bounce Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 hmm.. I have no idea sorry :/ You could try placing it in your K2 dir and run the update tool (swupdate.exe). Or place it in the K2/temp folder and run the tool
