Zach Morris Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Do you guys think that maybe having one of the main badguys in a game that doesn't speak english hurt him in the long run? I mean is it good mechanics to have an adversary that you can't even understand? I for one was a little dissapointed when he couldn't/didn't really speak that much.
Aurora Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I'm not disappointed that I couldn't understand him. I'm disappointed that I couldn't understand him, and yet, my character could. Cute with T3, very silly with the Big Bad. I am following my fish. A temporary home for stranded ML'ers
Astatine Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I thought Darth Nihilus was a great take on the big evil Destroy-Everything bad guy. You didn't need to understand him! Much better than lots more "Crush the Republic" Malak-dialog...
kirottu Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 But he does speak english. Only it is backwards and the speed is reduced by 3. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Zephyrus Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 But he does speak english. Only it is backwards and the speed is reduced by 3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I tried reversing some of his speech and speeding it up. I just got some different, slightly faster gibberish.
DesertHawk Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 You have to make the speed .30 after reversing it - speed is the key here. Or so we're told. Fnord.
Jarx Xun Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 The replies to Nihilus were too vague. I would've made the replies so that it would be wuite obvious what Nihilus was saying. How are you supposed to choose the proper answer to his statement if you have no idea what he said? Anyways how does the exile know the language Nihilus was speaking???

"Jedi poodoo!" - some displeased Dug S.L.J. said he has already filmed his death scene and was visibly happy that he

Zach Morris Posted February 21, 2005 Author Posted February 21, 2005 But did the way he spoke change the way you felt towards him?
