Saying the're the same graphics doesn't count.

Err, Bok....it is the same engine with new lighting effects and rain/snow/thunder etc. So of course K2 will have better graphics, albeit marginally. o:)"

That being said...flowing robes all the way baby.

Some people said that K2 looked uglier. I'm not sure myself.

i never played the kotor1 xbox version, so i have to wait to see how the pc versions compare.

but if the robes are anything to go by, then i think ill vote for kotor2.

In terms of anti-aliasing, soft shadows, particle effects and whatnot, the graphics aren't 'uglier'. It's just that the added strain on the XBOX version resulted in lesser performance and lag.

I'm personally looking forward to cranking up the settings on the PC version. o:)

I haven't seen K2 yet, but I guess the reason why some people say it's ugly is that the graphics are way too dark, and the beautiful landscapes of K1 are absent.

Zwangvolle Plage!

i think that for a graphics poll xbox shud be discounted, i myself use both platforms and i reckon that we should take both versions by their best estimate which is obviously pc. kotor 2 on pc is obviously not gunna have lags n stuff (decent pcs im takin for granted) so id say k2 will have best graphics

I agree with Gareth. Besides the X-Box seemed to ill equiped to handle KotOR 2 in the first place.

X-Box is a means to an end of this generations consoles... its no wonder it cant keep up with something with this much memory needed.

Enter the X-Box 2 :D

heh, they spend like the hole develpment time on the flowing robes engine, so the game sucks

god rotting australian release dates, will someone please kill me

It has its own engine?

No

They didnt spend that long on robes however they just made a model of flowing robes and implemented them with varying colours.

In the time space of under a year i think you all need to lighten up on how well they did.

I prefer KotOR's graphics. The game looks much cleaner than KotOR2, and the areas aren't as bland.

*Edit* I should mention that KotOR runs at 1600x1200 w/ 4x Anti Aliasing, 8x Anistophic Filtering and soft shadows. KotOR2 just runs at the Xbox's meager 640x480 with medium quality textures.

I started up a game of Kotor again just to see the difference, I'm only Taris yet, but so far Kotor 2 is better. Can't really see why they think the first one is better

Therein lies the problem - the XBOX is by no means a suitable medium for comparison.
