kumquatq3 Posted January 5, 2005 Author Posted January 5, 2005 Damn. I was looking forward to FOOL. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who wasn't?
Volourn Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Only the truly foolish. Afterall, I wanted to see it sell 3 copies so I can laugh. Hahaha. Ah well. Interplay was already useless anyways since they weren't really making any games anyways other that other MMORPG that they were 'financing'. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Diogo Ribeiro Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 NOOOO WHAT ABOUT BALLERIUM AND FOOL ??! THIS SUCKS IM GONNA CRY NOW
Camael Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Ha - just yesterday Grok (Brandon from Atari PR) told me in a PM that one of the reasons that Atari hadn't been that interested in resurrecting the Jefferson project (a major reason) was that Interplay still wanted BIG BUCKS for the engine, or in his words, it sure as hell wasn't a 'fire sale'. Well now maybe it is a fire sale. I think Feargus should offer them 20 bucks for the engine now that they are liquidating
taks Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 the creditors have control over that now.. well, the court, which will probably oversee liquidation efforts. this last bit, btw, typically means there will be an auction for the remaining assests, proceeds going towards debt repayment. which brings up a valid point: is any game company, particularly one that has developers that already worked with it, interested in the J engine and existing content? taks comrade taks... just because.
213374U Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Can't honestly say I'm glad to hear this. But it's time Herve faced the consequences of his utter incompetence as businessman. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
deganawida Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 He won't face true consequences until he's brought up on charges. That man did so much creative bookkeeping, it's a wonder the FEC hasn't come down on him yet.
taks Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 so far, i've heard of no consequences other than his company being sold off. he's already made his money off of the scam. taks comrade taks... just because.
taks Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 it's a wonder the FEC hasn't come down on him yet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ??? do you perhaps mean the SEC? taks comrade taks... just because.
Judge Hades Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 *Visceris begins to sing!* DING DONG! The b**ch is dead! The b**ch is dead! The b**ch is dead! DING DONG! The wicked b**ch is dead! Um, yeah, whatever. Now that the past is gone and forgotten, let Obsidian, the true successor of Black Isle Studios, pathe the future with success! (w00t)
deganawida Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 it's a wonder the FEC hasn't come down on him yet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ??? do you perhaps mean the SEC? taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blast it all! Yes, I mean the Security and Exchange Commision, not the Federal Election Commision. Yes, I am a goober.
taks Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 i was beginning to think you had insider knowledge of election fraud concerning herve!... ahem... taks comrade taks... just because.
deganawida Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 i was beginning to think you had insider knowledge of election fraud concerning herve!... ahem... taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldn't surprise me.
kumquatq3 Posted January 5, 2005 Author Posted January 5, 2005 the real question is where this leaves the FO3 deal Beth has....
romeo_longsword Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Why are there so many people dislike Interplay, I thought they are respected because they produced Fallout?
Judge Hades Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 The people who made Fallout have long been gone from Interplay. The company was an empty shell with that wretched Herve Caen in the middle.
Llyranor Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 It can't be an empty shell because he's in the middle. And he's worth more than nothing, everyone knows that. Your logic fails. R00FLES!!! (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
213374U Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 And he's worth more than nothing Is he now? - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Darque Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 YAY :D Time to turn Herve Caen's head into a pike ornament :D A little late for christmas... but whatever :D
kumquatq3 Posted January 5, 2005 Author Posted January 5, 2005 It can't be an empty shell because he's in the middle. And he's worth more than nothing, everyone knows that. Your logic fails. R00FLES!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :: notices sig:: <_< ::Notices "your logic fails":: ::Sees "ROOFLES":: My God! It's absorbing elements of this boards more "colorful" members! Kill it! Kill it now!
Darque Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 It's like that creature from that movie The Thing
Ellester Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 It's like that creature from that movie The Thing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Great movie btw, I always thought Jefferson was dead. But, now? who knows. Life is like a clam. Years of filtering crap then some bastard cracks you open and scrapes you into its damned mouth, end of story. - Steven Erikson
