It's rather funny, but I don't work. I just get paid for doing things I love - writing essays, illustrating, computer programming, comp. animation. Of course, I have to win whatever competition I enter in order to -get- money, but it makes it all worth it. I have my first two years of college paid for - including books and dorm - with prize money. Man, do I love those guys.

Librarian.

*shrugs* - someone has to do it mkay?

I'm a libraian also--and curious about the shrug. After almost 30 years I still find librarianship an interesting blend of technology, people, and materials. To have a job that's both intellectually stimulating and socially useful is no small blessing!

Last time I went to the library there was this very bearded man with thick glasses sitting at the check out desk. When I gave my books to him he pointed at a picture on his computer screen of a car stuffed with model airplanes and said, " Wow, that guy sure is a good packer!". I have no idea what that means.

Me neither, but chances the guy sitting at a check out desk isn't a librarian. :D

Security Guard! and yes the job SUCKS! :)

Why does it suck?

In Sweden security guards aren't allowed to carry weapons (only the police and the military are) so everytime I see a security guard, I get this ridiculous urge to up and punch him in the face just to see how he reacts. Especially since some of them are forced to wear these army-looking uniforms.. (I'm a sick puppy).

Does that happen to you? :)

I think you're a little mistaken.

I used to the be the Operations Manager for a security company. You need classes and a license just to carry a gun. And if you blow someone's head off, you're looking at murder charges.

You have to prove that your life was in danger to use lethal force.
