I'm waiting for amazon now to deliver me the next two volumes of the Thrawn trilogy. But aside from a few, they won't be. Some will be just outright horrible in comparison. Stay away from the Crystal Star and the "Callista" trilogy if you can. When I first read the Zahn Trilogy I was excited about the Star wars book, then I read "The Courtship of Princess Leia" and it just snowballed from there. I kind of thought Cunningham didn't really grasp the SW universe or characters she used. It seemed more like she was writing a "young adult" fantasy novel than a Star Wars novel. I also didn't think it portrayed Jaina Solo falling to the DS properly. Instead, it made her just seem like a bitchy little spoiled brat. The ending, IMO, is a bit....unsatisfying. Basically, it seemed as if he wrote it to set up his upcoming "Outbound Flight" duology, rather than writing a story for the single book. Fearless_Jedi Posted October 2, 2004 Share Posted October 2, 2004 Since it is gonna be called Knight of the Old Republic I would expect it to be either the same time period or take place 1000 years before Ep1....when the Sith where thought to be extinct. however I wouldn't mind seeing a clone wars related timeline...those Grevous body guards are cool and I cant wait to tear them apart in the new Ep3 game that is gonna come out. But I think that after KOTOR 2 it may be tiem to start a new series depending on how they tied up teh story line Maybe you are a descendant of Revan or something like that. It REALLY SHOULD be SOMEHOW loosely connected to the old one but with a brand new plot and completely new set of characters , adventures, and should be loosely based off of pre-existing information, but be original at teh same time Something of great importance, must have Jedi of Course, maybe an OPTION to pick an apprentice. And Alos, i think a modified 20 level system would be good. YOu can tell this will be a great game if we are already talking about what we want in the third installment even before the second one comes out. THis will set a precedent for only two games per era!!!!!! Not a good idea At LEAST one more KOTOR and then play it from their, Perhaps two more that tie together like the first two. There Is still so much they can write about teh old republic it would be a shame to skip that whole time period. They should have Like 5 or 6 KOTORs and then 5 or six KOTNR and then you would have a huge catalog of star wars games that can catalogogue the entire republican history and could be seen as the authority on Star Wars history.
