Volourn
"People attack Micheal Moore so much it's ridiculous IMO. He has a lot of good messages. And at least he stands up for something he believes in and makes a difference. Better than the people who just glide through life ridiculing those who make a difference in whatever field. " It's too bad that some people are able to ignore the fact that he lies, and even when he tells the 'truth'; it's so friggin' skewered. He is no better than thsoe he criticizes. In fact, often, he's worse. He's a hypocrite. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
taks
it's one thing to stand up for what you believe in, totally another to do it with deciet. distorting facts to prove a point makes him just as bad as those he accuses. further, if he were so bent on the policies those in the US should live by, why doesn't he live that way himself? live right, vote left... that's the very definition of a hypocrite. taks comrade taks... just because. @\NightandtheShape/@
The fact that we're number 8 just tells me the list is broken. Yeah it's shocking that the USA could be so high on such a list.... @\NightandtheShape/@
You know, after examining that list again, I'm rather surprised that the UK isn't listed. As I understand it, the UK has a high standard of living. Anyone know what's up? Probably got something to do with the insane blind man blunkett. "I'm a programmer at a games company... @\NightandtheShape/@
HAHA! LIVING in ICELAND is preferable to living in the US?!!! what's iceland got that we haven't got? If I remember correctly they're a much "Greener" country in terms of how they create their energy. That is a start. "I'm a programmer at a games company... @\NightandtheShape/@
The problem is, some people seem to project their distaste for the Bush administration onto Mr & Mrs Joe Average American. Which is, I'm sure you would agree, unfair. It is also intellectually lazy. Mr & Mrs Joe Average though arn't exactly the smartest bunch of folks and have prehaps if they're lucky left the state they live in or in some extreme cases actually traveled to Canada or Mexico. :D "I'm a programmer at a games company... Arclam
Pacific NW USA is my favorite place I've been in thus far in the world. There are places in the USA that r awesome IMO.. But there r also places like Casper Wyoming, the left armpit of hell, which makes USA down at least 3 notches itself.. lmao.. Where my friend got arrested for doing laundry. And people shoot anything that moves.. And if you look at a cowgirl you get a bunch of hicks wanting to beat you down and a bunch of cops wanting to verbally and physically abuse you.. Ack that place sucked... I recently embarked on a 6,000 mile monthlong roadtrip. Casper Wyoming wins the worst city on the trip by far. I don't remember Casper being like that. I always used to love going there. ( Lived about 70 miles away in Gillette.) I was planning on a return to Wyoming. Maybe I will try Laramie instead. By the way, if you want hell, try the Westside of the Phoenix, Arizona Area.
taks
Like what? People expect that just because hes a leftist he should be poor? i've got no problem with him beig rich and that isn't the point i made either. you substitute a straw-man argument. moore is a hypocrite because he is the very thing he says he loathes about this country. he talks about the common man but he is further from the common man than 99.9999% of the people. he's all for our public (socialist) education system yet... somehow, his kids go to private schools. he mocks the very thing that made him rich. no sir, being rich isn't what makes him a hypocrite. the way he behaves is. taks comrade taks... just because. ShinIchiro
Are you sure he isn't for a good public school system? Maybe his public school isn't good. Also, his background isn't that far from the "common man", is it?
JohnDoe
he talks about the common man but he is further from the common man than 99.9999% of the people. So you'd prefer if he campaigned for more to be given to the rich? And poor people only should campaign for the poor? he's all for our public (socialist) education system yet... somehow, his kids go to private schools. Yes, because the public school system in the US isn't in good shape. He wants it improved, more money to be spent on it. He never said "Our public schools are better than anything" and then sent his kids to private schools. That would be hypocritical. If the system was improved perhaps then he'd send his kids there. Anyway, I'm not going to argue this further, since political discussion generally bore me. You've made up your mind about him anyway, I guess. Weiser_Cain
Having gone to both private and public school(in chicago no less) there is no way in hell I'd send my kids to public school. At the same time I still think we need to improve public schools since not everyone can afford to send their kids to private school. Yaw devs, Yaw!!! tripleRRR
How though? The standard solution is to give them more money, which has not worked very well in my opinion. Something else needs to be tried, but what? And more importantly how will you convince people of this? TripleRRR Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
