October 25Oct 25 https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/1018217/reddit-opensource-ai-banSlow news day. Banning any AI use for a project seems silly, can't really fight the tide here. One thing I've even heard at work is people trying to blame Claude/Copilot for something, rather than owning it. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

Those have significant impacts on communities and their economics. It would be good to have realistic and complete data on their actual impact, but there have been efforts to cover all that up and conceal it with misinformation. That makes it suspect and so subject to scapegoating. "Can't sleep the drones will kill me."

10 hours ago10 hr Voyager 1 Is Approaching a Full Light-Day From EarthVoyager 1 is expected to reach one light-day away from Earth on November 18. That means that it will take 24 hours for messages to reach Voyager 1 from Earth and vice versa.Voyager 1 was launched in 1977, so it took 49 years to travel one light day.
