Why are stormtroopers so popular, they have incredibly bad aim, go down faster then a sithtrooper... bad training.... drop like flies... Atleast a sith takes more then one hit before going down. Not to mention to way the armor (the white, not the undetailed silver) looks. Does a stormtrooper inspire fear in peoples hearts?

Yes, but why would he ruin it? If I had built a gorgeous mansion with my own bare hands and imagination that everyone thought was a masterpiece, I'd be very reluctant to screw it up, even if I felt the urge to paint the doors and windows in Barney purple.

What makes it worse; he refuses to recognize there is a significant number of people out there who strongly disagree with his changes. As such, you can't find the Star Wars trilogy DVD set without the changes he makes; he refuses to release an unedited version.

 

So you better get used to Jango Fett stormtrooper voices if you want Star Wars on DVD.

I was just in Best Buy looking at the Star Wars DVD commericals on the DLP TV's and it just looked gorgeous. I know it's bad, but I can't resist, and I will own the DVD's.

I don't see a problem either. GL is just trying to make things more consistant between the 2 trilogies. It's not like he is replacing Alec Guinness with Ewan McGreggor or adding in totally new characters.

Why can't I have the version that was seen in theaters in the 1970's and early 1980's rather than what I consider to be an inferior redesign? It's not as if there will be a lack of demand for it, so the decision seems to be based on pure ego.

I think that people who go on about the prequels being crap are just cry babies.

 

You are comparing them to films that have been considered classics for 20 years and just because they are not what u wanted them to be like u sulk.

 

For me they may not be quite as good but they add to my enjoyment of the OT which makes them good to me.
