Atreides
Does a dev work on one character through, or does the whole team chip in various parts for each character? Which approach do you guys prefer? Spreading beauty with my katana.
JediMasterRevan
I was also wondering how do you come up with the plot, is it through real life situations, your imagination, or through other games or concepts you've seen before.
Maria Caliban
I would hope that a single person writes a single romance. As for how it is written, romance lends itself well to the classical plot structure and most people have absorbed thousands of romances from literature, movies, and television. I would assume it's based on those with whatever appropriate creative obstacles the writer can come up with. "When is this out. Plutospawn
I believe in the first KotOR, the Carth romance was created solely by David Gaider. (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.) I'm sure if there's any more than 2 people working on a character's background/romance etc it might get a bit messy.

Dead Skin Mask
Shouldn't we let his parents handle the birds and the bees talk? Remember all babies come from either a stork or the Thailand under ground slave trade. Cheers!
EnderAndrew
Speaking of birds/bees and Thailand, remember kids that there is no such thing as safe-sex in Thailand.
Salsabettis
Is there safe anything in Thailand?
Plutospawn
Tell me about it. Transvestite prostitutes rum rampant in Thailand. That wouldn't be such a problem if they weren't so hot. The moral of the story is boys and girls, to peek in your hooker's skirt before forking over any cash.
Ivan the Terrible
In preperation for having to write a romance, I heard Chris Avellone exhausted the local library's entire collection of soft porn. I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you But I get the feeling that you don't like it What's with all the screaming? You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? Guest Michael Chu
I can't speak for everyone on the team, but personally, everything I've put into KotOR2 so far has been based off of a very eventful weekend I had in 1996.

Child of Flame
Where is your quote from? I dunno, but he's got a Penny Arcade Avater. Yaaaaay for Penny Arcade!!! \m/ :D
Seth Tansill
In preperation for having to write a romance, I heard Chris Avellone exhausted the local library's entire collection of soft porn. LOL. Good ol' Chris and his read-up for 10 months. What a dude. I personally thought Bioware had set up a desk with 10 typewriters and a number of trained monkeys. Nartwak
Yes, hooray for PA avatars. It has been a while since I read it, but I believe that quote is from A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. Or at least from one of the sequels.
Jora
It's from A Clash of Kings. Catelyn Tully is interrogating Jaime Lannister and wants to know why he did what he did. BTW. If you haven't read these books, do it now.
Nartwak
Whoops. I read the available books in succession, so it's hard for me to remember exactly where one starts and another ends.
Indalecio
Where is your quote from? I dunno, but he's got a Penny Arcade Avater. Yaaaaay for Penny Arcade!!! \m/ :D Okay, now I am confused. I don't see a Penny Arcade avatar, anywhere? I just see Michael Chu and underneath it, I see Developer. No one else seems to have a Penny Arcade avatar either. I'am definitely missing something here. DemonKing
May I suggest we put Chris Avellone alone in a room with a hot Swedish exchange student for a weekend, record all dialog between them, and then put it directly into the game substituting all mention of Abba" with "Jedi", Stockholm with "Tatooine" and America with "Death Star". Should be about as satisfying as a Carth, Annomen or Jaehira romance, anyway.
Indalecio
Does this help? I know what Penny Arcade is. I'd recognize the distinctive art style anywhere. I just don't see it anywhere. Maybe at my current user level, I am blocked from seeing developer avatars? Actually that makes no sense you're at the same user level as I am Nartwak, and you can see it. I think my browser just decided not to display it for some reason. <_<
Nartwak
My mistake, I thought you may not have recognized that particular picture. Sorry! Hmm. You can see everyone else's avatar I take it?

Indalecio
My mistake, I thought you may not have recognized that particular picture. Sorry! Hmm. You can see everyone else's avatar I take it? Most are displaying. I see yours. The only one who aren't displaying are Plutospawn's, Michael Chu's, Seth Tansill's, and Jora's. Whether its because they don't have an Avatar, or it just isn't displaying correctly, I am not sure. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen any developer's avater, either.
