Carazide Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Here is my watcher. I tried following the GIMP tuturial, but there is a new version of GIMP now, and it's nothing like in the guide. Ended up using a mix of GIMP, lunapic and ms paint. Don't know who original artist is - found on pinterest. (Huge creds to artist - beautiful artwork, whoever you are!) 1

CrimsonDawn Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my pale elf Watcher. I made the watercolors using the GIMP tutorial. 1

Kvellen Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 (edited) A version of "male_aumaua_c" without a beard, from a reddit thread. Removing the beard from the portrait kind of makes him look like the Nameless One from Planescape Torment now that I look at it. On 4/4/2023 at 5:16 PM, ElSavant said: Many thanks! EDIT: BtW, has someone already done the Watercolor treatment for this handsome dude? Char seems popular enough to be the case, but looking through the forum with all the dead links is a real drag. First portrait is by Anna Helme A facebook post credits the second image to Gerry Arthur. The style looks consistent with theirs, but can't find it in their portfolio. ElSavant Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 A quick question to our portrait wizards here in the forum: Is there a certain trick to keep the aspect ratio when you downsize a portrait, so it doesn't look stubby?
Boeroer Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 That depends on what software you are using to downsize. But most of times, when downsizing a picture, there's some option to keep the ratio - like a lock symbol for example or a chain link or whatever. Here's what it looks like in my Gimp (sorry, UI is German): Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
ElSavant Posted January 9 Posted January 9 @Boeroer Thanks for the answer, but in the meantime, I found this website and it works perfect. 1

Yhekal Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Hello @Kvellen Would you be so kind and help me once more? I would like this portrait of Thaos to be adjusted so it can be used in "Deadfire" (with right size, watercolor version included and etc.). Also, could you make him a tad younger? Maybe black beard instead of white/gray? Similar to the image below? Thank you in advance and have a great day.
ManekiNeko Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Hello, Could someone please watercolor this portrait, please? This portrait is based on an official PoE1 portrait that has already been edited by lokarts. Thank you in advance!

Yhekal Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Hi @Kvellen would you be up for two more challenges? 1. Aloth portrait from PoE 1 into Deadfire - would you be able to make it so it's a bit more in style of PoE 2? Don't know really what should be done to achieve this - any ideas? Changing background?? For sure resizeing and watercolor version. Can you also make a version that is unchanged and just resized and with watercolor? 2. Would you be able to put spiked armor on the barbarian character? (swap bald guy with barbarian) Thanks!
Kvellen Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Tried my hand at making some variants of vanilla portraits. Edited the watercolors to match the unused "female_godlike_earth_c" variants by Polina Hristova On 3/16/2024 at 5:53 PM, Yhekal said: Can you also make a version that is unchanged and just resized and with watercolor? would you be up for two more challenges? 1. Very subtle changes but brings it closer to how Deadfire portraits looks imo. 2. Think I have hit my limit as far working around this portrait. 3

somebody_else24 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Hi, @Kvellen I hope you don't mind I have also tagged you here to ask for help making these portraits watercolour for deadfire. No worries if you can't. Anyone else is also welcome to assist me haha. I have tried to do it myself but have not succeeded. Thanks ahead of time!

ManekiNeko Posted May 3 Posted May 3 @Kvellen Thank you so much for the new and variations portraits! If you have the inclination and the time, would it be possible for Aloth's skin in your Aloth portrait to look more like the skin color in his Deadfire official portrait, please? In his Deadfire portrait his skin looks more yellow than white/pink, even if your version of his PoE1 portrait already looks more like it than the official one.
Pidesco Posted May 4 Posted May 4 This is an old portrait I found today lying around. It's an actual early revision of an Obsidian Deadfire portrait, I think Kaz or Lindsay may have worked on it. I thought someone might be interested in it as it is a Pale elf option. Also, there's no sepia version of the portrait. Kvellen Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Just noticed I seem to be missing "male_human_e" watercolor from my Deadfire portrait folder. Anyone happen to have them to hand? Watercolors of everyone's favourite blond fighter companion from PoE1. Calisca! On 5/3/2024 at 2:44 PM, ManekiNeko said: @Kvellen Thank you so much for the new and variations portraits! It's a good excuse to noodle around with some filters and settings in Photopea that I never used before. Though I'm a bit frustrated to realise that pale elves, by default, can't have black hair... Which is a pain, since I was pretty happy with how that looked after floundering to change that portrait's hair color to white. As for the Aloth PoE1 portrait, your right he does look a little sunburnt in hindsight! I tried to match his face to his ears and hand in the vanilla PoE1 portrait. Which are likely that way due to the light passing through his skin. Anyway it's a simple enough to change that sunburn into a subtle tan! I didn't make any changes to the watercolors version from my previous post, but figured I'd including them in this post as well to save people having to scroll. Through together an edit of the original portrait's watercolor to match. 4
artubi Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Hey everyone! Is there anyone here who would be able to help me (or tell me how can I do it myself) recolor this image to make it island aumaua? Naturally it depicts coastal aumaua, and I am desperatelly trying to get an island amuaua picture (which of course means skin colour closer to orange/light brown). I tried various online editors, but failed miserably
