March 8, 20196 yr So, I have bought Xbox One gamepad for pc. I have tried playing few games with it, but I'm clumsy with those roll sticks, called L-pad & D-pad I believe. Best games to learn using the controller properly? Preferably the ones I own: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/100486-what-game-did-you-bought-last/ I own some more games, but won't list them all. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33102093/ - Picky Gamer Girl!
March 8, 20196 yr Any sports game PS I have some sports, fighting, and platform games in the giveaway thread Edited March 8, 20196 yr by ShadySands Free games updated 3/4/21
March 8, 20196 yr I use it for Tekken and Darksouls, works like a charm. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
March 9, 20196 yr Nier: Automata is where I "re-learned" to use a controller. I used it for some PC games years ago but then reverted to mouse/keyboard for a while Edit: I did take a bit of practice to get used to the dual stick control again, one stick controlling character movement and one stick controlling your point of view and aim “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. March 11, 20196 yr Author Lately, I'm been playing Mulaka, as this is only game I can play with controller and use right stick to turn camera. Currently, I'm used to left stick as you move with it in most games that use controller. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33102093/ - Picky Gamer Girl!
March 11, 20196 yr Tekken or another fighting game will teach you to be very precise with the left stick because to do a lot of the special moves requires you to rotate the stick "just enough", the right stick doesn't get used though. I don't play sports games but my understanding was that they're mainly-left stick focused too. If you want to train yourself to be ambidextrous with both sticks then your best bet is probably a first person shooter or third person action shooter/slasher game because you'll use the left stick to move and the right stick to aim. I don't think it really matters which game you pick,Also, this isn't entirely on topic but Alien Isolation was one of the better games to use with a controller. It made full use of the rumblepack and the pressure sensitive analog movement as part of the gameplay and that's kind of a rarity for pc games. Edited March 11, 20196 yr by Serrano
