[4.0]No Steel Garrote dialog option in Oathbinder's Sanctum

Featured Replies

It feels pretty jarring that Steel Garrote ( or priests of Woedica?) don't have a special line (or ideally a special way to solve the quest) in the Oathbinder's Sanctum when the player witnesses a court of Woedica.

Subbing.

yeah that's the main issue with the Woedica and Steel Garrote subclasses. There are two pieces of reactivity for being Steel Garrote. that's it. would be nice if they added reactivity to that place though.

Well, obviously. You didn't think that they will rip open base game, rehire voice actors and add reactivity for new subclasses?

That said, it might be prudent to differentiate subclasses added with 4.0 from those existing from the very beginning. Players who purchase the game from now on, might have legitimate complains like the one above about reactivity, without understanding when and how those subclasses were added.

I’d take reactivity with no additional voice acting, if need be.

What would the reactivity even look like? You already have the option to let the execution proceed. I am not sure how being part of the Steel Garrote generally would require any acknowledgement from the Inquisitor. Maybe there could be an option to offer to personally execute Oswald on the spot? If that were to be the case, an unvoiced response from the Inquistor nodding and gesturing towards Oswald might work, but I have no idea how much work that would take to implement.

They talk to you like you’re not of their ranks. If you choose to interrupt them as a Steel Garrote or Priest of Woedica, should they try to kill you without a second thought? Are they that quick to dismiss a member of their own? Without even acknowledging the fact to boot.

I concur that I'd rather see non voiced options than lack of reactivity. Both of them can break immersion but I think the lack of reactivity is worse.
