Aurelio Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Imagine you have to translate the following list of words with ascendings IDs.
<DefaultText>Fore</DefaultText> <FemaleText />

<DefaultText>Aft</DefaultText> <FemaleText />

<DefaultText>Port</DefaultText> <FemaleText />

<DefaultText>Starboard</DefaultText> Sounds like directions/locations on a ship: Front, back, left and right. Simple or? Ok... but ID 4049 "Port" is used on the map as map legend. And marks ports where ships can dock. Is this a mistake or did someone from Obsidan think: Hey, we need new a text entry for port. And oh, look we already have one, let's take that one. Do you think that "Port" as opposite of "Starboard" and "Port" as a "habor for ships" has the same word in every langauge? Hint: They don't. 1
0 Cdiaz Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Hey Aurelio, Thanks for the post! Ill get it in that Port ID is being used in multiple instances when it shouldnt. Great catch! Best, -Caleb I like big bugs and I cannot lie...
0 Aurelio Posted June 6, 2018 Author Posted June 6, 2018 (edited) I'm not sure if it does... its definitely used on the map legend. But its very likely that text is used or was intended to be used elsewere too. As consequence the translated text is incorrect in german on the map as map legend, but it wouldnt surprise me if other languges have the same problem. Edited June 6, 2018 by Aurelio 2

Best, -Caleb A similar issue there is also in italian gui.stringtable (in patch 1.02 i don't know if in beta has been solved) 'Will' in italian 'Volontà' the games take the abbreviated terms that in english is again 'Will' but in Italian it's' Vol' (entry 50) (and i guess also in other languages changes) , that ends to a wrong cyclodepia term where should be showed 'Volontà' (entry 43). So the 'calling' from cyclopedia should be to the entry '43' and not to the entry '50' Edited June 7, 2018 by kilay Random Reader'Plinio il Vecchio asseriva che un rimedio alla sbronza fosse quello di mangiare uova crude di gufo' I° secolo D.C. Imagine you have to translate the following list of words with ascendings IDs.
Sounds like directions/locations on a ship: Front, back, left and right.
Simple or?
Ok... but ID 4049 "Port" is used on the map as map legend.
