  1. The streamsounds map is converted on an other way than the music and voices map. Both the WinAmp way and MILES do not work for me... Anybody has any ideas as how to make these work? And for Kotor1; Sorry... dunno. Kotor1's soundtrack was up on the internet (no longer) so I never bothered converting these files...
  2. All depends on your stats. I had trouble killing Vrook than upgraded one of my blades to have +2AB and Vrook died without any difficulty at all with this new configuration...
  3. We will all use the Team Gizka mod in the end... " EDIT; and the PC's have hair like that because the body and heads are done seperately and cannot be combined... like with hair
  4. Well, ofcourse a card tested with and notified in the readme/trouble shooting guide will work with Kotor2. But it wouldn't be the first time a game wouldn't work with technology made AFTER a game is released. The first GeForce broke quite some games working perfectly well with the Voodoo or TNT... maybe even more than XP Same as above. (and just to note; the 7900 does not exist ) And third; Why is this one in General now... didn't it start in Technical?
  5. Well, the first time I played it I couldn't kill Vrook whatever I tried And I could get DS-Mastery for that game WASN'T it that I got MAJOR LS boostage by healing the 4 soldiers on Dantooine All 4 made me from about 5% away from DS-mastery to about 20% LS (And I did help the Ithorians, Refugees, Onderon and Khoonda)
  6. PS:T spoilers;
  7. But isn't that also the way with the very loved PS:T? First very good, but once you got into Raven's maze 100% hack&slash to victory
  8. One bad thing about Kotor is the combat is over WAY too fast. They could give it a bit more cinamatic (and interesting) look by making the weapons less damaging and upping the HP of enemies and NPC's. But maybe that would make the gameplaytime too long or become a sore after a while... ?
  9. Being...?
  10. ES III: Morrowind ES IV: Oblivion Can't get more obvious than that what number in the series it is...
  11. Must be a problem with BINKplayer (binkw32.dll). Note that the following is from the troubleshooting guide of an other game, but "should" be in effect here too; A: This is usually caused by a duplicate, but older, version of one of these two files in Windows\System folder. Lots of games use these two files, and most will search for the files in Windows\System. So a common fix on the web is to drop files in this folder. But, files change between versions. If you have this problem, it's confusing the game because it's finding that version instead of the one it needs. But, there's a simple fix. The file you want is in the System folder inside the demo folder - copy the file out of the system folder into the game's root. Now it'll find this copy of the file first and you should be on your way.
  12. Please no. It has been officialy proven by recent research that people have enough of sequels...
  13. That is how I played Kotor2 for the first time. They punished me for it quite hard... (not being able to kill Kavar/Vrook) and loads of LS points for defending Khoonda... even if my intention was that they should be used as cannon meat
  14. Do you have patch 1.0B installed? It should fix some issues with Intel
  15. Meanwhile... at the stickies department
  16. Open SWkotor2.ini and find the [Graphical options] line. There, add at the end Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1
  17. Besides some non-Black Isle RPG's on the list... why put the manual in the box of a game not included in the game (collection box) and in some cases are totally not of Black Isle (Giants )?
  18. Odd... it appears in my post. Must have something to do with my link being a fixed one and your a dynamic. As I already said; quote that post then Ctrl+C what makes the pic appear and Ctrl+V it in the "Edit Signature" of your "My Controls"
  19. Sounds like you entered the wrong door (to the sublevel again). You need to go through the door where you entered the enclave in Kotor1 (incase you haven't played Kotor1 the other end of the building...)
  20. And look, it is a top down action game. And PNJ (or the next) will be First Person or 3rd person or a combo. They seem to do the reverse of what Bethesda does. EDIT; Actually... they do precisely the same... from iso to 3rdP/FP Why trust one more than the other with it if one created some wideopen boring games and the other just one game, which was storydriving... forced path linear and not that great in quality (we all know why though, but still)
  21. Your definition of a RPG; Even more defining of RPG's by you. No "I thinks" here... just cold hard facts Calling "my definition". How odd you hate me for saying the exact same thing... and once again saying what defines a RPG (no "I think") My definition further defined.... eh, not... " Seems like randomness grabbed you here... and the further convo became Very confusing. And you once again define RPG without "I think". Just cold hard facts (well; your facts) MY definition? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're the one who brought KotOR into this. I can understand if you want to retract on the basis of not having a good case, though... Wait. Diablo 2 has sub-quests. You can or cannot complete them! Choice! RPG! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, it just has a few quests that you can leave uncompleted. Whether you want those rewards or not is immaterial - it still will not affect the further plot in the slightest. You'll still face the Smith even if you don't want to find Charsi's hammer. Hence, no choice. Hence, no RPG. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We kept talking about 1 definition you kept refering to as fact before; and which did not qualify Diablo 2 as RPG... and now here it is. And you even claim cold hard that this is the thruth and your interpretation is the right one...: (Also note what is said in the link is different from the first quote... which I meant by saying "your definition") Not my definition, I'm afraid... Take it up with the dictionaries if you disagree...
  22. Indeed. And why should we judge Bethesda on something they have not done yet before they have even completed that? Am I now going to judge if BioWare sport games are good or bad? No, since I have no idea how they can actually bring it off. Once there is more information released about what they exactly do THEN you can judge wheter or not they can or cannot be succesfull at this other method. For example; OE is making an ACTION RPG for the Consoles. Did they (or Black Isle) do so before? Njet... yet do I feel already that they should give up because they will screw up? No; because they might even make it good... who knows... I will judge once I see what they make of this one; instead of way before when no information is known other than "action RPG with UE3" (might or might not be PNJ)
  23. Well, according to you before in this thread your dictonary link agrees with your definition of Diablo and now it no longer does? (And the DS2/PS:T was NOT based on the link but more on your "I need to roleplay, have choices and know X, Y, Z, A, B, C and D)
  24. Wan't recent or even "in the future" of such events... here you go. Not that I posted this already 5 pages ago... When talking about FO III Hades is like a broken record... no change at all anywhere; so why adjust for any "non-existing" change? I posted that companies CAN make different games than what they usually do... the "new genre" was just an example of a advanced form of this... See top of this post... What does THAT have to do with it? Even if there are few genres devs can make multiple of these. They are not THAT unimaginative as you might hope to believe Happens more often than you are willing to believe... Once again see top of my post... Why would I doubt that. Blizzard has shown they take great care in what they make; be it Adventure, RPG, MMORPG or RTS. Personnally I don't like ANY of there games but that doesn't mean they can make games like games should be made and give extremely good support...
