Disturbia - moderately amusing. We also finally watched Bloodrayne after idly adding it to the Sky+ planner, well, I say watched...it stayed on for about fifteen minutes. Dearie me.

SimCity4 because I can't go for too long without playing one of the SimCity games. Now we have a new PC, I'll probably take a look at Dawn of War 2. The mere sight of the box made my laptop run away and cry.

After a few years of space issues and laptops, we finally built a new PC. Well, The Boy built a new PC, I made tea and accompanied him on an epic journey to the nearest stockist when he realised at 430pm on Friday that the Noctua cooler he ordered was for the wrong socket... Arriving 6 minutes before closing after a rather tense journey on the motorway during rush hour = win. Vista Home Premium x64 Unfortunately, the Noctua cooler with it's two fans meant that we had to remove the fan from the side of the case before it would close. D'oh. Not a huge deal though, the cooling seems to be more than adequate as it is. The G15 keyboard is getting on my nerves somewhat, as I'm not used to having extra keys down the lefthand side...hitting random buttons instead of the shift key is super fun! I do like the little LCD display though. I expected to hate the Sidewinder mouse, but am actually fairly happy with it.

Now that's just mean. I'm guessing that the account got caught in amongst all the spam accounts I deleted when I logged in yesterday. Also - hello.

I went for pink because there was a special offer on at the time. :D I really need to get more games for my DS, I don't play it enough at all...I keep looking at Phoenix Wright...maybe I'll pick that one up soon.

I caved to peer pressure and am now playing LoTR Online. It's alright, nothing too special, enjoyable enough but not overly exciting. It has more of a casual feel for me, which is what I was looking for really.

I finally read A Game of Thrones recently, and enjoyed it a great deal. How are you liking it? I finished Four and Twenty Blackbirds by Cherie Priest, which I found extremely enjoyable. Very creepy and intense in parts. At the start of the weekend I read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Not a brilliant book, but reasonably enjoyable, and quite sad. I'm now revisiting The Hobbit.

I have Water for Elephants on my list of books to get, after reading a friend's review of it. Sounds interesting, and the cover intrigues me. I have the yummy slipcased edition of Children of Hurin waiting on my reading pile. I did have a flick through when it arrived, so I could check out Alan Lee's illustrations...awesomeness.

Sounds interesting. I don't have many games for the DS, and I've been looking out for something decent. Might give this one a shot.

Finished A Wrinkle in Time, which I enjoyed a great deal. Am now on to Four and Twenty Blackbirds by Cherie Priest, which got bumped to the top of my reading pile on account of my being utterly in love with the cover art by John Jude Palencar. Also re-reading Vampires, Burial, and Death: Folklore and Reality by Paul Barber.

I'm playing that with the official expansions and plugins. I've had many technical problems thus far due to glitches in the game. I haven't had any technical problems yet (and I didn't have any when I played it before as I recall), I haven't got any of the plugins or the expansion pack though... I'm still enjoying playing through. So far I've done far more of the main quest than I did before...less aimless wandering, which is good in that it means I may actually manage to complete the game rather than just get bored.

I've just reinstalled Oblivion. Hopefully I'll complete it this time.

Hi folks, it has been a while. *waves* Since last week I have read: The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories by Susanna Clarke - an excellent read, and I now feel like re-reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell all over again. American Gods by Neil Gaiman - a re-read of a book that is every bit as brilliant as I remembered. Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson - a book I had overlooked previously and enjoyed a great deal. I posted about The Ladies of Grace Adieu on my blog at the weekend, and will probably post about the others before the end of the week. In other recent reads I've revisited Neil Gaiman's Stardust , Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie (Charles Vess illustrated edition), and read a couple of Dean Koontz novels. I'm about to start reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey (love the film, have never read the book), and have Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time lined up to follow.
