  1. ...you should play with Waukeen's Berth! It's made to remove useless travel/waiting for restockable items. Just confirmed that Pyrite is on the menu too.
  2. I'm not sure why it's not listed but you can also do Hard Feelings for House Doemenel without committing to them. In a way it's more of an intro quest than the burglary one is, since it lets you trade with Bricanta, much like the Dozens/CK intro quests unlock a vendor. There are two more quests that involve House Doemenel (At All Costs, Cat and Mouse), but no matter how helpful or hostile you are (including killing their goons), you won't commit to joining them or make them so angry they won't want to deal with you. I have a very particular ritual for antagonizing House Doemenel every playthrough...
  3. Gold is not an issue, but the whole respec process is, so I want to just give my characters every weapon focus. FindObject peasant gives me a list containing like ten instances of WeaponFocusPeasant(Clone) I cannot use this as the game complains it doesn't know which of them I want to give my characters. According to the wiki, the talent's name is tln_weapon_focus_peasant but the game recognizes no such object. Any ideas?
  4. PotD, ToI. Level 13 right now. In any serious battle, they honorably unleash figurines and wait until they have enough phrases to summon monsters, at which point they honorably drown the enemies in monsters while honorably pelting them from range. So, ranged weapons, and very preferably long range. They are for taking down bosses. Helwax Mold, Durgan Steel, burning down an orphanage because it'll give me a gun, anything goes. P.S. 6x chanter is working out much better than 6x fighter for these one class PotD ToI shenanigans...
  5. As I recall my custom minmax history involves following Hylea, because I'm benevolent like that. It also involves getting the bonuses from Heritage Hill and the Skaen blood pool, because I'm benevolent like that. And then whatever will let me get the breastplate and put a hat on Aloth's head for me to borrow.

  7. This mod was made to avoid exactly problems like this. It is a pointless exercise to make the player waste time until something restockable is in stock. Install it, and all restockables are available on Queen's Berth merchants. It was preceded by this mod, which I think does the job in a worse way, but it seems to be more popular, perhaps because it only makes merchants sell more of what they sell by default, instead of making merchants sell new things just so I can say you can buy everything in Queen's Berth. Anyway, it doesn't have alphabetic ordering and the method used to fill their inventories causes the game to freeze a bit when you open trade, but I'm not up for fixing that. It's fixed for WB.
  8. WRT paragraphs getting eaten, the techies haven't been able to pinpoint the cause. But, if you use shift+enter for linebreaks, it won't eat those. I too am a victim or I would have quoted you.
  9. The issue is back for me too. I haven't posted in a while (before today) so I definitely wouldn't rule out that it happened at the same time as it did for Gorgon.
  10. I always play mass paladins and like to admire my defenses. Ain't nobody gets to tell me not to wear Magnera's Chain. Also, fort/reflex/will help with incoming damage too. Will perhaps only rarely, but OTOH it stops the worst kinds of CC.
  11. Also the base game is fairly generous with choke points - at least in dungeons - so if you make good use of those, the enemy doesn't really have the option to hit anyone else.
  12. Yeah I don't think it was the ctrl+enter thing. I've been submitting normally with mouse clicks since. I doubt that was the cursebreaker, and it's definitely not something I need to keep doing (if I ever needed to). Also, my software is never in Swedish if I can help it (but it seems some mobile app creators cannot even imagine I wouldn't want to use Swedish ). Until this little debugging session, I had been posting here strictly on my desktop computer, which runs an English version of Firefox. Edit: My Windows language is also English (but Swedish on the laptop). One thing I tried while debugging was to copy/paste Chinner17's post at the top of this page, and I got the same buggy behavior. Yet, when pasting it into my text editor, it looked just as I expected with the symbols for enter and shift+enter linebreaks.

  15. Pardon the extra post, but I am now trying a US proxy to see if you have cursed Swedish IPs or something. However, in this proxy window, I cannot edit my previous post. Here goes: Extra line! Well, that just didn't include the linebreak, so I cannot say that it really worked... also, I wouldn't read too much into this behavior as this proxy was more like a browser-in-browser with various oddities. Couldn't get a traditional proxy to work though.
  16. I am running Windows on my desktop and laptop. My phone is an Android. I am really struggling to see that there should be something in common here, as I think that was the first time I ever accessed these forums on that phone, as well as while using Chrome on desktop/laptop (and I can't imagine I've been here often on the laptop either, certainly not as logged in on this account). I always use Firefox - Chrome is just what I fall back on if I suspect Firefox might be having issues with a site, so that history is almost blank by default. I am not using any services to share browser info between devices. Yet if my account itself were to blame, it'd be the strangest luck that a fresh account would have the same issue. I even lied about my birthday, so we can't blame the curse on that either. I'd thought that I was alone in getting these linebreaks and that they (or the forum's handling thereof) were to blame, but clearly it isn't that simple. Nevertheless, maybe we should get the word out that only using shift+enter linebreaks will probably protect you from the bug. And now, I am in incognito mode on Chrome, everything cleared, AV disabled, and trying a linebreak plus another line of text... if you see more text after this, it worked. Spoiler alert: Nope, failed. By the way, to be clear, I can see already when I submit the post if it will bug or not. There is this brief moment between pressing save and the edited post appearing, during which I can see the post-linebreak text disappearing from the editbox.
  17. Let's see... Crud, I had hoped the maintenance was because you had figured out how to fix it, but I still have the problem (though at least now I know how to circumvent it). My theory breaks; your post would have been bugged if it held. I may be editing this post on occasion, trying to find some other cause. I have now tested it in Chrome/Firefox on both my laptop and my desktop and encountered the problem without fail in every case (and Chrome in both cases has no extensions). I even considered that it could somehow be my ISP/network that was to blame, so I made the laptop use 4G instead, but that wasn't the problem either. I'm running out of even bad guesses here. Update: Chrome on phone - still getting it. I made a fresh account and it also has the bug. Do we need a programmer or an exorcist at this point?
  18. Does a full attack like this trigger weapon effects too? BTW, that prone tactic seems to require a bit more structure than my kill-or-be-killed fights can end up as being, if they are going to last long enough that I actually need to think of what and when I knock down. Especially as overwriting Prone seems to have weird results, with a double-Prone mob getting to take action. Also, oozes and blights are immune to it, for the record
  19. Okay. I believe I have solved it. Right, so using enter for linebreaks means everything past that linebreak gets removed. I can see it as I submit the post, how the rest just disappears. But, shift+enter is fine. Worked both for editing a post and making a new one. I attached an image that might be relevant.
  20. Checking if forum eats my post-first-linebreak stuff in Chrome as it does in Firefox... it did. Editing this post sporadically to try things... Test. More test.
  21. Forgive ugly reply, but forum eats all lines beyond the first. Shields (and ranged weapons) are banned. If I don't want to charge in right away, I use figurines to tank. All fighters have Knock Down and Clear Out, so prone-on-crit isn't very exciting. I see no full attack on Charge. As my chargers (except Watcher) have high might (because bigger Charge), I fancy using two-handers as much as possible. I have Tidefall and BotEP, intending to dupe the latter. Summoning a Firebrand doesn't let me do the instant charge. Watcher has dual war hammers (or will have - Godansthunyr and Strike Hard). I also realized since my initial post got eaten, you're not aware but my party is level 13-14 now, so I'm hoping to keep the weapons rather superb at this point. After upgrading the stunhammer there are 2 more eyes, which I thought to use on the attack speed staff from EP. Even if I do that, I'd need another, and the good options are too close to the endgame (WM2). So I thought of some DW solution for the last, maybe with TUB (I know WM2, but at least early WM2). Anyway, like I said, high might because big Charges (also taking every +25% damage to creature type talent because of this), so I'm thinking I should try to stick to twohanders? Do like the Daenysis/Dagger combo idea though, as that sounds disruptive if nothing else. Could do that with extra interrupt talent.
  22. Then you need to know that the Watcher has conversationalist stats (so terrible mig/dex) and the whole party likes to just pop Vigorous Defense, Disciplined Strikes and then Charge. PotD, ToI. No durgan steel, sky dragon eyes or helwax mold committed yet.
  23. Mods weren't fast enough to delete my post as per my request, so you spent all that time suggesting weapons for the wrong game but thank you! I'd revive the topic and elaborate on my dilemma (for Pillars ONE), but I don't want to fight the forum.
  24. According to the wiki, it seems the command should be ChallengeMode TrialOfIron. But, it says this is not a recognized game mode. I have enabled cheats and ChallengeMode ExpertMode works just fine for toggling EM. Anyone know the parameter name for ToI? Edit: After 20 attempts I figured out it's just ChallengeMode Trial.
