  1. Guys I'm thinking of starting on DS1 ? But I'm not sure I have patience to keep going back every time I die?Is it worth....you guys all seem to like it? Well, you will die a lot in the game. But there are severel bonfires in each area, which are checkpoints. So once you know the path to the boss, you can ignore most enemies and run to the boss area. I really think it's worth to stick to the game and not give up. It has unique storytelling and multiplayer, great bossfights and fantastic exploration. The level and world design in DS1 is simply brilliant.
  2. So I finished my first playthrough of DS3. I took me 95 hours defeating all bosses and maxing out nearly all covenants, except for the Blue Sentinels/Blades of the Darkmoon. Summoning would take too long to get 30 Proof of a Concord Kept. I think the ratio of Way of Blue and Blue Sentinels/Blades of the Darkmoon players will never work well. If there would be at least another way to get those covenants reward (except for farming). Despit some minor flaws I really loved it. I'm looking forward to the DLC and can't wait to see FromSoftware next game.
  3. In terms of atmosphere it's much closer to DS1. There are hexes, but now there are split between pyromancies, miracles and sorceries. Pyromancies scales wit INT and Faith.
  4. Well, you could get the Drangleic armor right after the Pursuer or the knight set after Heide's Tower of Flame, which is a very solid armor for the most part of the game.
  5. Still playing Dark Souls 3. Counting over 60 hours since release and I think I'm in the last third of the game. I'm doing all the stuff like PVE, PVP and Co-Op and I'm having a ****ing blast. I can't remember the last time I played such a satisfying game. Bossfights could be better, they don't match Bloodborne ones and it has still some minor flaws. But in terms of story, NPC questlines, exploration and atmosphere it's FromSoftware Opus Magnum.
  6. Don't want to spoil the people who play DS3 right now, but this view is amazing.
  7. Feels soo goood. :D Too late, bro. Already did my duty... Honorable White Phantom. An unintentional alliance.
  8. I don't know about the console community, but for the PC it's either 100 or 125 in DS1 and 150 in DS2 for the arena. 100 was also pretty fine in Bloodborne for PVP. There may be only a handful of weapsons and spells which needs a higher stat than 50. I would never recommended going over 50 in NG. Don't know what you are talking about.
  9. Always planning my character around level 100 for NG. Sweetest spot for PVP and Coop in lategame and NG+. And since you should never level beyond the hard cap (50), I always put some points into other stats.
  10. Yes, there are connected, but not in the way like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, The Witcher etc.
  11. Started Dark Souls 3. Two Bosses down. So far it's ****ing great.
  12. I pass the time with Salt and Sanctuary till Dark Souls 3. What an amazing game. It's a mix with Dark Souls and Castlevania.
  13. But this isn't Demon's Souls. So call it whatever you want. Finally preloading...
  14. I would count that as a quality build. I don't see the point to focus solely on strengh or skill due to diminishing returns. And since nearly all weapons scale with both stats, it make more sense to mix those stats once you hit the soft cap.
  15. Yup. Completed the quest and got attacked by a hunter after I collected his helmet. The hunter dropped that whistle thingie. As for Item slots, I don't use all of them. Most of the hunter tools I've gathered so far aren't really that useful, not with my stats at least. I am not really a big fan of the character stats in Bloodborne, not much variety in builds. I am focusing on a "Arcane Build" right now but the only other build I can think of is a character that focuses on the Bloodlinge skill instead of Arcane. I want another Demon's Souls-like game, the possibilities are endless in that game. Haven't touched any of the Dark Souls games yet though so they might surprise me. Yeah, there are basically three different builds in Bloodborne. Arcane, Bloodlinge and Quality. So far, I would say Dark Souls 1 and 2 has the greatest variety.
  16. Unfortunately, I never played Demon's Souls. I didn't own a Playstation at the time, so my first Souls game was Dark Souls. Of course I watched some Let's play of the game, but yeah, it's not the same. But I hope they will release a remasterd version for the PS4 at some point.
  17. Finished my second playthrough of The Old Hunters DLC. The music in the Laurence fight is really great, basically telling his story. Now I'm pumped for Dark Souls 3. Only nine more days.
  18. Yeah, just that I wish it had the weapons/skill/class variety of Dark Souls 2. But I love its artdesign and the lore... Finally beat Ludwig alone. In my first playthrough of the Old Hunters I had the help of an Old Hunter, by accident.
  19. Just curious, what's making the base game better than the DLC? For me the DLC has much better level and boss design. Also I can't see how the DS2 DLC is much worse than Bloodborne's Chalice Dungeons.
  20. For me it's Dark Souls > Dark Souls 2 DLC > Dark Souls 2 = Bloodborne. Bloodborne has a fantastic art design, but it lacks depth and the multiplayer is terrible.
  21. So after a break I returned to the Bloodborne DLC and I finally beat her.
