I don't really care. I use bow a lot and sneak attack all the time, so bonuses tend to go to speed, agility and strength. I'm doing fine with chain armor and steel arrows.

For the record, Kvatch mail is the ****. My character looks subtly medieval whilst still maintaining the fantasy aura. Plus the shield is cool. Edit: On the other hand Kvatch itself is definetly not the **** on level 7 without healing potions. Don't try it.

Oh, and I joined thieves guild and sold 2500 of loot in the process. The shopowners in Market District must be thrilled. I love robbing in this game, even though it's relatively easy.

Modding for NWN was suprisingly enjoyable compared to some of the less user-friendly mod tools other games sport. Too bad I lost interest, the undead pirate isle with a humorous undertone was one of my more worthwhile ideas. Heck, I even got a friend to help me with it.

Thief? If so, update it before venturing any further. The gae will rset the difficulty to normal every time you load a save game. Very annoying, if you play on other than normal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just bought Thief 1 & 2 (double pack), and I look forward to playing it soon ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *ahem* http://www.keepofmetalandgold.com/ It's incredible how long the game can keep one occupied. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Should I read that before I play the games? (It looks awfully spoilerish ...) I am not launching myself at a breakneck pace into the games, as I tried the demo for the third one and it didn't make me want to go out and buy it ... still, I expect this will grow on me; and I've heard that there is a really scary bit in one of them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No hurry, it's obvious that one shouldn't try the demos before venturing through the...vanilla games. And yes, there's a subtle amount of scariness involved, especially with Thief 1.
