  1. I really liked the trial version. The third world was some incredibly satisfying puzzling/platforming and I like the overall art direction.
  2. Bargain bin, here I come!
  3. Well, damn. IIRC, the last time when Ellis' worked on a game was on Rage Software's Hostile Waters back in '01 and while the plot wasn't anything to tell home about, Hostile Waters was brimful of atmosphere thanks to it's very decent characters and the those little quips of lore that it offered in every mission. It had very solid writing and that was a saving factor for a game that slowly but surely became repetitive. Of course, then there's TransMet and Nextwave, which are all the reason I need to be excited.
  4. hahhahah, fail
  5. Push ALT, the frobbable part of the crane should highlight in blue, like any a container. If it doesn't reload from an autosave and try again. Otherwise, well, you're screwed. Reinstall and repatch.
  6. Dark Knight Scroll over for plot keywords: Praise for Heath Ledger and RIP. Finally a modernized rendition of my favorite comic villain, done in absolutely spell-binding and grim style. No one can top this, no one, which is why his death is such a deathblow. I seriously can't imagine the next movie living up to this, unless they go for a very different feel and can continue to reinvent this, which has now turned into a, series. But getting Penguin and Riddler after my two most favorite villains...eh, I guess I have to trust in Depp and Nolan. Nevertheless, best comic book movie so far. Heartily recommended for everyone and anyone who likes Batman, with a word of warning - don't expect Romero and Nicholson.
  7. Animatrix had two enjoyable segments - the ghost house part and the absolutely superb animation about the runner, but otherwise I didn't find it very compelling. I guess the one where the school boy finds Neo is kinda passable.
  8. Pixies - Monkey gone to heaven
  9. I'm half sure I recall the game having a Oceanic/Maori vibe before this site. Am I on to something here, or was it another game?
  10. Stop the press, I completed all the end parts using only 1 Grains. I'm glad Acolyte is over, that was so simple I nearly cried.
  11. Beastie Boys - Shake your rump Babylon Whores - Behold the suns below Tuvalu - T
  12. Babylon Whores - Exit Eden Hell yes
  13. Answer: One great game. I'm currently working through a list, a backlog of sorts: Puzzle Quest as a Druid, it's refreshingly less intuitive than all the "RED MANA IS GOOOOOD" classes I played previously- Dungeon Siege 2 as a multiclassy character, relying less on healing magic. Then on the the expansion finally. Dark Messiah is just about to end and my warrior/thief has been a fairly successful character build, despite complete lack of magic. I'll totally do a second playthrough as a mage after this. Ninja Gaiden 2 ends today, hopefully(second form of Archfiend without healing items is a bitch) then it's on to Warrior difficulty. I sometimes do sudden stints on GoW 1 co-op as well, ever since my friend lost his saves. Oh, and Yuris' Revenge is ****ing awesome.
  14. Went to the Punkaharju art gallery, Retretti. Saw some very decent works, new and old, including a study of da Vinci and massive Thesleff gallery, but I particularly liked Jani Ruscica's Beatbox/batbox video installation. I should have video'd it into youtube, srsly.
  15. Sig quote time!
  16. Yeah, I'll have the Doomguide in my first party as well.
  17. So that's Mafia, Hitman 2 and Blood Money plus VtM:Bloodlines out of your list. Tough crowd here.
  18. And Dungeon Siege 2 a very decent hack that no one played. I'm looking forward to this game. Willing to see how it will shape up.
  19. I see your E.E Smith and raise you Richard A. Knaak. Worst fantasy license writer ever, practically a hack.
  20. Obviously, you haven't read Weis and Hickman's Dragons of Autumn Twilight. I mean...for ****'s sake stop the dice-rolling already. Then again, the Death Gate cycle is absolutely fantastic, a real gem from them.
  21. to Xardy: But you can't know that without having read both, which why I get weird looks every time I praise Howard. Because when nerds gather, there's always Salvatore-hatin' and when it's done by a guy who everyone knows likes, what outward must seem like, stories about a loin-clothed testosterone monster saving fantasy chicks, I look like a massive hypocrite. For a lot of people, the two writers are not that different.
  22. I really loved it. And just because Xard is beind a tard - I love Robert Howard's Conan stories. What does that tell of my so-called tastes?
  23. I have too see that movie, but I've promised to hold up until I can watch it together with the missus. It irks the bejesus out of me.
