They tried the whole FF-angle in Third Age, whihc failed miserably, since the team had no personality whatsoever making the teamplay pretty much devoid of drive. Meh. I think there might still be some untapped potential in Tolkien's world, I just hope it's a solo gig thing this time. I don't trust EA enough to have any kind of false hopes on their ability to make a team game. And for god's sake, no more Minas Tirith and Rivendell there's a ton of MiddleEarth yet to experience. Use some godgiven imagination.

Heh, Gauls are pretty much the universal punch bag in every other mod(and Vanilla) except EB. I just wish they(EB devs) would concentrate on bugcrushing and polish and not try to forcefully introduce two new factions in 0.8. I can understand adding Saka-Rauka(because Yuezhi gets the boot), but an Arabian faction? Saba/Axum is fun and interesting but how is that relevant to the period? Well, they do have separate teams for pretty much all parts(factions, playtesting, traits, etc) of the mod so maybe all hope is not lost. Bestest mod since...anything.

Now we only need conflicting interests by foreing powers and it's hello to World War 3.

Well, if the start of Silent Assassin is any indication, 47 is not machine, I wasn't arguing that he doesn't have any feelings, just not a lot. Or he doesn't show them because he either: 1)feels that they get in the way of his career(obviously) 2)is severely traumatized(cloning, career choice, etc) Yeah, I thought about a girl too, since that would be probably the easiest and the most accessible way for the audience to set 47 on the right track. Hah, in EB it's other way around. Poor poor Romans. Although Triarii are just overpowered and legionnaires never route. Never. When you attack past-Marian Roma, it's like hitting a brick wall, even though phalanx can pretty much consume every pila it gets thrown at, since you can't model the effect they had in reality; getting stuck on shields and bodies. Now they just make damage or don't and phalanx is pretty much invulnerable from the front.
