  1. I thought it was lame. Cybernetic assassin brainwashed by the soviets? C'mon...
  2. When has a new Bioware game not reminded you of their previous games? Actually, I take that back. NWN never reminded me of BG.
  3. Is that Gods:Lands of Infinity?
  4. You know it baby! Ermmm... praise the immortal Emperor <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fag
  5. In Before Lock. Although it's stupid to use that apellation so often. Looks like you've just learned a new trick and want to prance with it.
  6. So, ugly tough guys in power armour, huh?
  7. Well, that's the first time I hear that comparison.
  8. Agreed. If the upcoming Mercenaries 2 game has has even half of the features it promises in the co-op campaign too, I can safely say that I won't play another modern shooter for the next couple of years. It's that awesome.
  9. I've been playing it at my pal's since 2002. 12 times in four years amounts to almost nothing since we can pretty much run through it in ten hours nowadays. See, the point here is that an otherwise bad game gets an enourmous lifespan just because it happens to have a co-op. Well, I guess the fact that the co-op is well done amounts to somehting too.
  10. I know co-op's awesome, but why is Gears Of War better than any other co-op game? It's being hailed as Xbox 360's saviour, for Pete's sake. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know, hype value and newness are probably big factors as to why it's hailed, but why I'm interested in it is because there's only so many times you can replay Halo 1 and 2 and Brute Force before you start to get itchy for a new scifi shooter with a co-op. I think I've played Halo 1 through with my friend about 12 times. Which is in itself a testimony to how much it's' co-op rocks.
  11. Have you ever played a co-op campaign? I have and I can say it's beyond awesome, especially if the gameplay is as dynamic and fluid as it looks like in Gears of War. Of course, you can just pretend I monger after phallic tools of detruction if that's you thing. "
  12. Well, Mass Effect is obviously space opera. Big in space with aliens is pretty much the epitomal state of space opera.
  13. and from that: - Daumen 'Cos Baley wanted me to. For the record, I don't actually get minimalistic jazz with ambient influences all that well, but at least it's not irritating. Is this purely synth or do they play instruments?
  14. I'd like to hear your view on what is a "more finely crafted setting". I know where you are coming from with your view of SW and I agree. We both agree that any talk of characters is a bit premature, no?
  15. What Morgoth surely meant to write was: Co-op campaign is the only way to make console games.
  16. Been there.
  17. Hah, you wish. :D
  18. The nasty part of that mission is the freaking Silent Hill homage meat chamber with twitching zombies and a cage fight. Yeah, and the pyramid head ambient pounding on the background.
  19. I saw V for Vendetta again, on cheap cinema. My friend had just got his driving license so most of the excitement was the trip itself. All in all, the only thing that left me sour during the movie was Evey. I mean, seriously attend some sort of acting school. That was really bad.
  20. I wish...that icecream was mine.
  21. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0575077...glance&n=266239 Funnily enough, I found that from a library. In Finland. It would be criminal to call it decent but that's what I'm gonna do, since the save-the-girl-decapitate-the-mage-and-his-demon-crony-shtick gets really really boring after the fifth story or so. But the ones where Howard ahs really tried something new, like Beyond the Black River, Red Nails and Phoenix in the Sword truly shine. It balances the bad ones out. There's that pure adventure spirit and almost primal understanding of what a pulp short story should be about. Bestest Conan ever. I can safely say that Red Nails (along with maybe Tower of the Elephant) are some of the best short stories I've yet to read.
  22. On the contrary, it along with Dark Aliance 1 and 2 should've made the list. I demand their addition, since the list has to be complete.
  23. I've never really got into that band. What are the better albums, WS? Borknagar - Oceans Rise
