  1. I was having issues killing it as well and this guide solved it for me: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/82021-20-thaos-strategy/
  2. Yeah but Adra actually contributes to the story, Sky and Other are decent enough, but the stupid Alpine Dragon is pointless. That being said, I want my money's worth, and I don't feel I get that with such terrible encounters. Adra, Sky, Other and Alpine? For me there were only 3 dragons: Adra, Sky and Alpine. Am I missing one dragon? Sorry, maybe the dragon in the game with the godhammer piece isn't a dragon. I popped the cheevo after killing him though! ow Yeah, I remembered that one. It has a name which I don't know. I used to count it as a dragon as well.

  4. Are you serious? I found many on my gog version. Can't believe the bugs only happen on gogs version, shouldnt be that different.
  5. Hi, I went to Longwatch Falls to complete the Bounty:Disciples of the True FLame. Won the battle but all the afflictions although surpressed were still showing on my characters sheets. Even after I traveled to Caed Nua. Saved the game to post here but when I loaded it, the affliction icons were gone and the surpressed effects as well. Hope it helps.
  6. On my first playthrough I played with a wizard on hard. On my second playthrough I played a Barbarian and created a Rogue (adventurer). I loved playing with the characters I created and I believe a custom party might be very enterteining. IF you finished the game once, I suggest creating 3-4 party members and using only the companions you like the most.
  7. I was missing the fact that my party had all those debuffs around. That's probably why the ghosts took so long to die. I will try that later.
  8. Have to tell you, your tatics worked like a charm. Amazingly well. I didn't have a cypher on my party and I still could do it. Pallegina is equipped with a soulbound weapon that when it crits a vessel it kills it. So after using scroll of valor she insta killed one of the judges. My Aloth has 67 acc. I cast Champions Boon on him + Eldritch Aim + Scroll of Valor (party) His acc goes to 88. Eldritch Aim gets surpressed. But Scroll of Valor (15 acc) + Champions Boon(10 acc) should rise it to 92, no? Is it a bug? Another thing I noticed was that I could only cast Gaze of the Adragan once in battle. When I tried to cast it again it said it was already activated. Bug or intended? Thanks again for the video. It saved a POTD playthrough lol.
  9. I will try your tatics tonight. Thanks a bunch for the video. When I finished the game on hard I didnt need to debuff him, just used the Malstrom and paralyse scrolls and it was gg in no time. On POTD those scrolls just don't hit. Is this the same strategy that should be used with the Alpine Dragon? The best result I had in that fight was to finish all the other creatures. Couldn't really hurt him.
  10. Looks like a giant video in my screen. Are you blocking scripts or something? Strange...on my screen there's just a blank space before the written strategy. I will try another browser.
  11. Only way I know is to flee (disingagement). If I were you I would keep far away from Dragons since they are the real deal in terms of death infliction. I finished the game on hard with a Wizard and I had problems with just 2 fights - a certain dragon and the last boss. Skipping the Dragons and the stronghold would leave you with just a few group of regular mobs that could kill you if you are careless.
  12. Is it possible? Is someone doing it already? Maybe Obsidian could grab BG1 & 2 licenses, remake them using PoE engine (keeping the same mechanics and rules from the originals) charge $50 and just take my money! :D
  13. Im playing the white march on POTD, I didn't scale and I started the expansion content with a higher level party. Or it scaled itself even if I chose standard or the expansion is challenging. I couldn't do Cragholdt with my lvl 12 party. Some encounters felt like impossible at first until I figured it out. My main problem with the game is that it is balanced for those that tackle the main game with no side quests. If you do the side content, the game becames easy for the most part. It needs a serious xp balance. Also, gold is not a problem....I bought everything I wanted and I sitill have 60k with the stronghold fully upgraded.
  14. My problem was that although I was only on Chapter 3 I was already level 12. And before I've seen all the White March content I was already lvl 14. That's what ruins the experience. I found great loot for lower level parties. It seems the game wants you to play no side quests and then rush to the expansion content. More than often I find myself enjoying more the side quests than the main story line.
  15. Nearly all enemies in the White March relies on this paralyse/stun/petrify/attack combo
  16. Try PotD. The main game is not much harder than the Hard difficulty, but the expansion.....that's a whole other story.
  17. When I beated the Adra Dragon on hard, this strategy worked like charm. The same with Thaos. Im trying the Alpine Dragon fight on PotD and it's nearly impossible. I tried the paralyse/malstrom scrolls , all the paralyse spells and priest support spells and I didn't win so far. On PotD, with the Alpine Dragon, the paralyse effects dont last long enough for me to do damage on it. I saw a youtube video of a guy beating the alpine dragon on hard, i tried the exactly same strategy and it didn't work. Starting to believe the alpine dragon fight needs to be balanced on PotD. It's not fun. My party is lvl 14th. With the White March expansion the game became considerably harder in general. I had to think, regroup, heal and cast lots of spells to win from regular enemies.
  18. No they are not. At least not the non leveled soulbound weapons. I have unique weapons that are better than their soulbound counterparts. What I do is I use the 2 equipment setups, one for my unique weapon of choice and the other for a soulbound setup. I switch to the soubound when it can be leveled up.
  19. I have an average rig with ssd and I get long load times. It is a pain, because the amount of screen transitions.
  20. I didn't finish the expansion yet, however, I am at level 13th and half way to achieving level 14th. In the main story I'm at act 3. I dind't do all the bounties and I didn't do Council of Stars. I didn't do the cragholdt siege, durgans battery or the new companion side quests. I believe I will achieve level 14th by the end of the expansion (POTD) and when the second part comes out all the xp from it will be lost to me. I hope they let us get to level 16 or do a serious rebalance of xp per quest/monsters etc.
  21. Have you tried reporting the bugs you find? Complaining here in this forum is not how you do it. You should fill a bug report so they can fix it.
