I didn't read that Lindros' contract was bonus laden like Allisons. Has anyone heard different. And how many times have you watched him play and say "Lift your damn head up!" . He seems to have brain farts whenever he tries to carry the puck over the blue line.

I must of blinked and missed it, Mkreku. Then again , watching Ottawa and Toronto play each other time and again in the post season makes me switch channels. Your line idea was cool, but who is going to be doing the hitting? As much as I dislike the Rangers, they do show a few of their preseason games on tv. Which gets the hockey jones going. Weirder still, for some reason the Rangers look like champs in the preseason.

I used to be a Whalers fan back in the day. Those damn cool green jerseys with the the big 'W' on the front. That's probably a subconsious factor when I buy all of my Weezer shirts. I'm rooting for the Hawks as well this year. I think Tuomo Ruutu is going to have a breakout year playing with a hopefully healthy Eric Daze. Your response made me try to remember the last time I saw Mogilny try to check someone, Mkreku.

My bet is the New York Islanders. I didn't know you were a hockey fan Laozi. Do you root for Philly all the time or do you have another favorite team?
-
Until his parents pull out some charts saying that player 'x' isn't passing to Eric as much as the other players. One of the replies on the TSN site suggested that John Leclaire should be brought in. Don't do it George, sign at least one new player who made it through the last season without any injuries.
-
You're right. Sundin gobbles up 15-20 minutes a night. This might be an interesting year for Leaf fans in that Mats may have some competition up front. But the key word here is maybe.
-
Welcome back Laozi. Now that toronto has three proven centers, I have to ask the question ( sorry Mkreku), who's gonna play the wings? Tie Domi? Whats the deal with Alexander Mogilny? I don't think there is a lot of room in the TO budget left for anybody else. I had a dream last night where Georgie boy traded Sundin to the Capitals for Brendan Witt and a bunch of fourth liners. Just a dream...

Thanks for the comments. I didn't realize Visas' rack would be such a cause for concern. Hopefully I can fill her out more in the inking stage.

Plus Belak sometimes picks up shifts as a forward, as well. So if Toronto scores a top defenceman, he could play a winger or something. And I forgot that Berg is a little bit of a butterball. Its amazing how any hockey player can carry excess fat, what with all the exercising and stuff.

I tried to read through the Arbitration section at NHL.com but for some strange reason I began to get a nosebleed... I want to make a snappy remark about Toronto signing Berg and Belak but I feel too sorry for Mkreku. Hopefully Lindros will do good at the doctors. Chin up, little soldier.

I check this place out before work. Then on lunch. And more when I come home. Sorry to go back on topic.

There are a lot of new artists in here. The more the merrier, I say. Here is the start of a Visas pic that I undertook tonight. Its a little blurry, but I should have a finished version up in a day or two. -
And Shawn Horcoff has joined a dozen or so odd players who filed for salary arbitration today. Also included in the list weere Marian Hossa, Matthias Ohlund and four players who were traded to the Islanders, including Mike York and Brent Sopel.

i would like to correct myself and say the afformentioned article was about Matt Greene, not Dan Smith. And I'd take Thibault on my team any day over Sean Burke.
-
Thanks for the link. Joe Thornton + Glen Murray + a healthy Sergei Samsonov=many points in my hockey pool. And the Oil just resigned Jarret Stoll. Looks like no room for the Moose. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=133022

No. It was much like yesterdays paper. Only a page or three devoted to hockey. They do have a nice write up about Dan Smith, an up and coming defenceman who the Oil want to put in the system but the kid isn't sure if he wants to drop out of college just yet. Plus more Pam and Tommy **** in entertainment. I'd say skip the paper today Alanschu, but go out for lunch just for the hell of it.

Can't we just let the Bertuzzi thing go? Today Pittsburgh made a dramatic improvement in goal by trading a draft pick to Chicago for J. Thibault. Pittsburgh just got a whole lot better. People may pan Thibault for not putting up great numbers with the 'hawks, but their defensive system really leaves a lot to be desired. And they played him until he was ready to drop. Now having MA Fleury to spell him will make them both better goaltenders. Philly versus the Pens in the east. Thats my prediction. Hopefully we can have another 5 hour game from them in the playoffs like we did a few years ago. And Alanschu, I think the Sun reporters must have been lurking around here last night. Front page of sports asks 'How much for Ryan Smyth?' Me myself, I say give him three mil a year for three years, and not a penny more.
-
Touche! On that note, I'm outta here for the night. Hopefully Ryan Smyth will be signed tommorow...

And the same goes for Iginla. Booyakasha!!

I can't wait for Big Bert to try to camp out in front of our net. First, Pronger is gonna whack his ankles with his stick. Then Bert will turn around and shove him. After that Bertuzzi will still be trying to screen the goalie, except Pronger will be there cross checking him in the back. Oh the goodness...

Unfortunately we only have two radio stations in our town. Country and top 40 crap. Eight matches between the two teams this season. Plus eight against the Canucks. It's going to be a really heated three way rivalry this year. Add the Avs to the list, and I can see the Northwest division being the most competitive out of them all. Don't forget, there was a lot of bad blood when the 'Nucks would come to town and spank our team, so I'm sure the Oil are looking for payback.

No Alanschu, I'm not residing in Sask. I am a born and bred Albertan. Actually I reside in the town that thinks its a city, Grande Prairie. I'm up north from you. And the hockey buzz is all over the province, man! Today at work my friend and I spent time planning out our hockey pool, and then tried to make playoff predictions. You're right though, this is one season where you can't say that team X is guaranteed a playoff spot, unlike the past few years.
