  1. What's sadder than Volo's posts is that this whole Pronger thing overshadowed Stevie Yzerman announcing his retirement today. I for one will think Detroit will be without a true leader now that he's decided to hang em up. Thanks for the memories, Mr.Y. A class act through and through.
  2. I'm just glad this whole thing is over. He came and had a great season at a hefty price. Of course, he didn't want to be here but gave it a shot. Now he's gone and we have draft picks out the yin yang. Let's trade them for somebody good, who can handle pressure in a hockey crazed city.
  3. Some people are suggesting cheering for him instead. I'm not one of them. I've heard rumblings that Anaheim wasn't high enough on Pronger's list of teams to be traded to. All I can say to that is...too bad!
  4. Hey, Rosie (that's Grier's nickname) had a few twenty goal seasons with us back in the day. And howcome this guy on CHED can't stop talking about Tony Roma's?
  5. And you're picking up a solid checking line winger who can possibly score a few goals if the stars align in the proper way on any given night in Mike Grier, Hurlshot.
  6. Wow, the way I read it is Pronger never wanted to sign here in the first place. He just wanted out of St.Louis to get his big fat contract, and was impressed by Lowe enough to sign here. The way he put it he didn't plan on sticking it out anyway. Quick LLyranor, call him a jerface!! And an Edmonton Sun reporter, about sixth or seventh in the question que, asked , 'How is leaving Edmonton going to make things better?' Pronger: When you ask your family what can be done to make things better, and they say move...its move. At the end of the day its something i needed to do for my family.
  7. And Pronger is supposed to be phoning in to this Edmonton station in ten minutes. I for one, want to hear what he has to say.
  8. Hey dip****, Oiler fans only started hating him after he wanted to be traded. There was no loyalty on his part, so why should we show him any?
  9. I watched the original Dawn Of The Dead last night. It was alright, and I've seen it before, but I kind of prefer the modern one a little more.
  10. Or at least get an NHL proven defensman out of the deal. Way to **** the bed, Kevin Lowe. The Gonchar/Almstrong deal doesn't look so bad now, does it? edit: Please don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, Pronger
  11. Is that a 'hey man, pull my finger' kind of moment?
  12. The Clash - Rock The Casbah
  13. You do realize Savard is a center, though, right?
  14. I dusted off my XBOX to play some San Andreas today.
  15. Whoa! there was a lot of movement today. Jovocop to Phoenix  , Chara and Savard to the Bruins, Rollie the goalie and Pisani staying put, plus JFJr signing some half decent blue liners.
  16. I just got in from my second viewing. I hate to say it, but it's far too long. Plus, I ran out of popcorn halfway through. And forget Bizarro, Hades, next up I wanna see Brainiac or Metallo.
  17. Weezer Only In Dreams the Laozi version!
  18. I just read that Radek Dvorak has said through his agent he's not coming back to the Oilers next year. Although he never panned out offensively as well as any of the parties involved had hoped, he still played balls out most nights. And I remember a beautiful end to end goal he scored a few games after coming over in the Anson Carter trade. I tip my hat to you, DVO, best of luck in Phoenix. As for Roenick, I hope he signs, starts out on fire and then gets concussed for the eleventh hundred time by Christmas. Does anyone remember when his jaw got broke and it showed him playing with it as he went back to the bench. I swear, one of these days he'll lose a finger or something out there. Go J.R!!
  19. My brain tells me Domi is done, but my stoner senses predict he will end up in Phoenix. Then again I think everyone is going to the Coyotes. I hope Calgary signs J.R. to center the Iginla and Tanguay line. I still wouldn't pick it in my hockey pool. I'm already committed to Gaborik-Rolston-Demitra before training camp even starts.
  20. It's been superhero mania since I've been home from work. First I watched Daredevil ( it didn't really get much better with time), then there was a Superman special on A&E, and then immediately after that I watched the first Spider-Man flick with commentary and subtitles. My tv is about getting on in years and now I've had to shut it off because the picture goes all wonky the longer it's on. It doesn't handle white too well. So it's a short break while I write this and then it's Spider Man 2 time. Or should I go the expanded version of Sin City route? Plus we're going to Superman Returns tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the plane crash scene ending again.
  21. And don't forget that the Leafs are really glad that the salary cap has been increased. It looks like they'll be paying Tie Domi and Ed Belfour not to play this season.
  22. And Herb Brooks deserves to be in there as well. My only complaint is that the Killer didn't make it in. Better luck next year, Dougie Gilmour.
  23. That's a great song, Drabs, as a matter of fact, that one dollar you just spent on IASAR may be one of the best returns you'll ever see for one hundred pennies. I'd also recommend 'bit part', 'rudderless' and 'my drug buddy' Matthew Sweet - What Do You Know?
  24. the Pixies - no.13 baby (live) viva don't want no blue eyes la loma i want brown eyes rica i'm in a state
  25. After that scene it seemed like forever until we saw Supes in costume again. Plus that whole bullet-in-the-eye scene was pretty well done too.
