  1. Silly Muso, I accidently broke that thing the other day.
  2. Wow, and the videos for 'Atomic Dog' by George Clinton and 'Twilight Zone' by Golden Earring are on their too! Plus 'Girls' by Dwight Twilley. Best find in WOT so far ( although gizoogle still cracks me up). Good work Lady Crimson
  3. Carolina may have dominated most parts of the play, like hitting, skating, passing and goaltending, but that still doesn't mean Edmonton was slaughtered. A slaughter would have been a rout of like 8-2 or something along those lines. I'll admit that Carolina was the better team last night. But only last night. Remember kids, dominating is different than slaughtering.
  4. I'm not sure what game you watched, Frenchie, but a three one game isn't really a slaughter. And when one of those is scored into an empty net with less than two minutes left, does that mean Carolina was running up the score? Ah well, you know what, the world kept turning today even though the Oilers lost. I've been keeping to myself at work today so as not to listen to everybodies opinions on the game. Better luck next year, Oilers!!
  5. ^black shoes white hat cadillac the boy's a time bomb! Grand Funk Railroad - Some Kind OF Wonderful edit: damn too slow!
  6. Lou Reed - Dirty Boulevard
  7. Ahh the flashbacks. Tommy Tutone, Big Country, Crowded House. Although there is no 'Run Runaway' by Slade.
  8. Seeing Rem Murray all teared up on the bench was really sad. If there's any justice in this world ( although after tonight...) two things will happen : First of all Rem will pick up the Bill Masterson award for dedication for hockey. Then after that all of his Oiler teammates should pitch in to help him pay off his insurance settlement.
  9. It is a recorder, Drabs. I've seen pics of the band where everyone has one. Teenage Fanclub - Broken it's broken, it's broken your heart has been broken again I dedicate this song to the Oilers
  10. I watched The Good, The Bad & The Ugly last night. Although it's a great, great film, I would not recommend it as a date flick . Lesson learned.
  11. Oh, and how can I forget to mention GET RID OF TY CONKLIN! NO off season would be succesful without ditching the game one martyr.
  12. I walked home from buddys' house as soon as it was over. I could care less about watching those bastards lift our cup. Too bad we couldn't have matched their game tonight. Best of nine anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Ferris Bueller? I'd like to think that Peca will be back next year. From what I've read ( on the internet, mind you) Peca just finished building a big house in the city. We could use a reliable defensive center who can score goals occasionally. And he is one of the top face off men in the league. And you know his point totals next year will be going up, since they can't get any worse than last seasons numbers. Personally I think the biggest changes will be on the fourth line. I can't see Harvey getting resigned, nor Laraque. Rem had a solid if unspectacular playoff, and maybe he can be the odd man out to help the rookies learn to check at the NHL level. Now CBC is talking to Kid Rock. What he has to do with hockey, i don't know. Couldn't Cuba Gooding jr. or Dennis Leary be in the stands instead? Cole and Neale probably think Kid Rock is a chia pet or something.
  13. Goddamn it was a good run though, wasn't it? Hopefully the incredibly painfull lesson the team learned tonight about not playing sixty minutes of hockey will help us next season.
  14. Great, well now I feel a whole lot better. And Ward wins the Smythe. I grabbed my sad looking and limp Oiler flag from my car window on the way home. I'll keep it in the closet until the next playoffs. And for the record, we're not losers, Volo. We're still the Western Conference champs. Although that trophy seems pretty worthless right now. It was a good, no great, no spectacular playoff run for the Oilers. Now we just need Patrick Elias and we'll be unstoppable!
  15. I tip my hat to the 'Canes for outplaying us tonight. As for my Oilers, ..... better luck next year? And thank you for 106 games of nail biting, heart attacks and part time tourettes. Outhit 15-2 in the first. No wonder we lost. edit: Go head bitches, gloat. We still placed hhigher than all your teams.
  16. Ween - Push The Little Daisies
  17. I'm sitting here right now with a really big case of butterflies in my stomach. It's kind of tense. And I just got an email from the Oilers saying rookie physical testing starts on Wednesday. I don't know about the rest of you, but if the OIlers weren't in the final I'd be pretty hockey'd out right now. I think I've watched nearly 100 Oiler games this season. At least tonight, one way or the other this season will finally end. Stoopid Olympics.
  18. Since it's game seven I stopped by the adult beverage store next to work and bought a ten dollar bottle of wine that's sure to get me drunk. And I got a discount to boot! In a couple of hours I'm going to walk to buddies house up the block to watch the game on his gigantic teevee. I don't think I'll don any Oiler apparel, but I will bring the rally touque with me just in case. And I totally agree with you Checkpoint. There's no way the 'Canes are going to lie down for this game. Of course in a perfect world tonight's game would be a replay of the last one, but that just won't happen. I'm wishing for a hattrick for Dvorak. He's been snakebit through the entire playoffs. Let's Go Oilers!!! Let's Go!! WIn it for Joey!! I guess I don't need the big 'I still believe' line today, now do I?
  19. If Darque was here she'd say something along the lines of 'Resident Evil!!' (w00t) (w00t) If ShadowPaladin was still around he'd suggest Pokemon, I bet. Personally I've never owned a gamecube, but I have played Fight Night Round 3 on it at a friends house. It comes with Super Punchout as an unlockable feature, I believe.
  20. Awww, does Hades need a hug?? 'cos I think Mothman just signed on...
  21. I agree with Eldar. If my mom died tomorrow I'd be pretty upset. Not upset enough to kick my brother in the nads for not crying, but upset nonetheless.
  22. Occasionally when suffering from a wicked hangover I'll tear up a little after coughing up a lung. Does that count?
  23. Are they playing the real version of 'Fernando' or this one? My favorite quote about last nights game, courtesy of the weirdos over at the 'covered in oil' blog
  24. Well I voted for Jaro Spacek as my first star over at the NHL site. He came in second. And how about Peter Laviolette's explosion during the time out in the second? I've seen coaches pissed before, but that was pretty intense. The sad thing is it didn't really do much to the end result. I hope the 'Canes play this bad on Monday.
