  1. I'd still love to have Brown on my team anyday. The whining from the Phoenix players is pretty bad. I can't say I've lost any respect for Mike Smith, because I never had any in the first place. I saw him play against the Oilera earlier in the year and he did the biggest dive and belly flop I've ever seen to draw a penalty. And hacking away at opponents after they score on him is classless. That being said, he did stand on his head and carry his team through the post season. Maybe his comments are a result of taking too many shots to the head. Any Phoenix players complaining about Browns hit should watch the game tape of the last game Marian Hossa played.
  2. All I know is that the Kings haven't lost a road game so far in the playoffs. That's incredible. And I'd give a few bucks to hear what was said during the handshake line after that game. Brown could be getting a call from Banahan tomorrow. Hopefully the finals have better officiating than what we saw tonight. Yikes. Go Jersey!
  3. Quit dicking around and finish this, LA!!
  4. I wonder who will be the next coach for the Capitals? Edmonton is kicking their tires with Tom Renney, and I wouldn't be suprised to see him take the job if it was offered to him. Also, go Kings!!!
  5. NJD over NYR. Six games. LA over PHX. This matchup is pretty even. As I've stated before, I don't want Phoenix advancing. I'm hoping for a five game series.
  6. I'm thinking about players still in the playoffs who have previously won the Cup. New Jersey has Brodeur, Elias and Sykora The Rangers have Brad Richards The Kings have Dustin Penner Who am I missing?
  7. An LA Kings and Coyotes Western Final? If you would have said that to many at any time during the regular season I would have laughed out loud. I wonder how Philly will respond to not having Girioux in the lineup.
  8. I thought the Blues would at least win a game. Now Nashville hopefully can get their ass in gear. I don't want Pheonix advancing past this round.
  9. I don't think that has much to do with it at all. Making it to the second round means a lot more money in the Predators pocket.
  10. I can't say to know the whole story. If they didn't make curfew in time by a few minutes, I don't think its a big deal. The internets are telling something different. It looks like the two of them went on a bender the night before game two and arrived to the next practice in less than game shape. If that's the case I support the organizations decision.
  11. Bostons' Patrice Bergeron played game seven of the last series with a torn oblique. For a hockey player that had to be murder.
  12. Round two is starting tonight? The West: LA at STL. The Kings will be in rough against the Blues. I'm gonna side with LA in six on goaltending alone, although I'm pretty sure this series will go either way. NAS at PHX. This series will go the distance, with the Preds pulling out all the stops on their way to their first conference finals. The East: WAS at NYR. I'm not sure that the Capitals have anything left after the first round. Their whole team has bought into the defense first coaching system, but you have to wonder if the scoring will be there. I'm still suprised the Rangers didn't dominate Ottawa. Aw crap, I can't decide, so I'm gonna pick the Blueshirts in 7. NJD at PHI. Sorry Krookster, but I can't see the Devils keeping up with the Flyers offence. Philly in six. And I swear TSN must have focused in on the Florida GM booth at least a dozen times during both overtime periods last night
  13. I don't think he minds, seeing what the result was.
  14. I think the Rangers will win. They have arguably the best goalie in the league.
  15. My predictions are just about out the window, but it was nice seeing the Caps pull out the win last night.
  16. I'd say Phoenix is lucky more than anything.
  17. Whoops, I forgot about New Jersey, too.
  18. And the Canucks go down! Maybe they can trade Luongo and Kesler for Marleau and Clowe! What an upset for the Kings. I can't rag on either team, though. Both have been far more successful than mine since the lockout. And if Boston, Chicago and the Rangers lose we're guaranteed a team winning the Cup that's never had the honors before. Interesting for sure...
  19. It's a tricky call. A slap on the wrist with a five game ban would accomplish nothing. A ten game suspension would raise some eyebrows. But 25 sends a clear message. I'm pretty sure the length also has to do with the amount of times Torres has been involved with issues like this.
  20. Also, 25 games for Raffi Torres!!
