  1. I don't know about all the particulars, but a good Call of Cthulu CRPG would be very nice. In fact, I think Lovecraft's universe is more compelling than his actual writing.
  2. It just seems odd to me to worry about product placement in a movie in which the main characters are all products. Anyone who watches and loves Transformers has already bought into product placement. It's like the old joke: A man walks up to a woman and says, "Would you have sex for a 100 million dollars?" She says, "for that much money? You bet!" The man says, "I have a dollar, will you have sex with me?" She says, "How insulting! One dollar, what do you think I am? A prostitute?" The man says, "We've already established that. Now we're just bargaining for price." Maybe not a funny joke, but it's certainly how I see the whole argument regarding product placement in a movie about toys.
  3. I never got into the Conan setting. Something just occured to me. When we talk about any of these settings, are we talking rulesets and all, or just the setting itself?
  4. No, that makes him an inventory item. hahaha
  5. Annah has a Scottish accent. She was voiced by Sheena Easton. haha, I have a link for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheena_Easton
  6. "Dak'kon - Solving the mysteries of the Unbroken Circle was an unforgettable experience" This is my favorite experience in any computer game ever.
  7. Yeah, that's true. I didn't think of that.
  8. That's exactly how I see Alien and Bladerunner. One of the reasons I'm a little leary of the Aliens project is because I don't see how it will translate into a good CRPG. ...But, hey, if it's a good game, it's a good game.
  9. We're both preaching to the same choir and we're both in it.
  10. THQ has that license and they seem ready to milk it for all it's worth. Currently there's an MMO, FPS, a PC RTS, and a handheld RTS in the works at least. Yeah, but that's an MMO, an FPS, and two RTSes. I'd like to see a CRPG for it. Of all those, I'm likely to pick up the MMO, but I'd rather have a tighter story than an MMO can provide. I'm pretty much okay with anything on the list, although I wasn't particularly excited by the Bladerunner idea. I could see a good game, but I think it would be hard to capture the films in a CRPG.
  11. Looks like the ever reliable wikipedia agrees with you. ...And if it didn't, you could always change it so it did! Wikipedia, the poor man's referreed journal, complete with no referree! Anyhow, I'm still jonesin' for a good 40k experience. Most of what we've seen on the PC for Warhammer has centered on the strategy element, and that's in real time. I remember an old SSI title that was turn based, but still strategy. A real CRPG would be a break in the trend and there's a lot to explore in the universe that remains untapped.
  12. Where is My Mind -- Pixies
  13. I'm all into a Warhammer game. I'd prefer 40K just to get away from the generic fantasy for a bit. I'd also love an IWD3. I loved the first IWD. It remains one of my favorite games. The expansions to 1 and IWD2 were great fun. I could see myself enjoying any of the others on the list, but 40K for sure. I think they should get started on it immediately! Where's Llyranor? He's the CEO, after all.
  14. Yep. I like how their neatly lined up. It makes me the "half full" kind of guy all over.
  15. A six pack and a half full pitcher.
  16. That's not a glass, jackanapes, it's a pitcher. So save some for me.
  17. And guns
  18. At least I didn't throw my friend to his certain death.
  19. Things are coming along nicely. I sent in a rather lengthy suggestion via the program we use for reporting bugs. I get the impression that it won't really come to anything, but I managed to express ideas concerning what I consider the most important part of the game. More and more, I'm looking forward to the end of the project, when I can share at least some of my experiences with the community. No matter how small a part I've been playing, I have made an impact on the game. I can't think of any tester who hasn't. I'm not so foolish as to think that my views on game design matter much, but there's a lot to be said for finding the bugs and helping to get them fixed. I've played through the game exactly one time. Mostly I'm rooting around finding stuff out of order. The build on which I finished the game is quite old now. I'm genuinely looking forward to playing through the game from beginning to end. I'm also looking forward to seeing if there's something new I haven't found already. I doubt it, but you never know.
  20. That much consistency isn't just bad CRPG. It's bad RPG. There have to be some lulls between battles and not all battles should be the same. That doesn't just mean degree of difficulty, but also in terms of types of battles.
  21. I always argued that we should ban you, Feng. Everyone really. If I'd had my way, most of you would be banned and the rest would have become my unholy minions. I was always arguing for bans and drastic measures. Yes. YESH!
  22. haha What a bunch of doofi. :Cant's goofy grin icon:
