  1. Well that can be fun if there is room to get between it and another car LOL...
  2. Most of the problems with riding a bike are actually down to inexperience and studpity on the part of the rider, you HAVE to be more alert and have a better understanding of what's going off around you than you do in a car. Most accidents are caused due to riders riding round corners too fast, something that is very common to young speedy biker riders who usually don't ride all year round and usually don't commute to work. I ride a motorcycle, I've had a few close calls, usually because car drivers occasionally pull out of junctions without seeing the bike, but usually I have clocked them a good few seconds before they're even going to move, my thumb instinctively goes over the horn and a lay off the gas and prepare to break, if they even move an inch I begin to break very lightly and adjust my position. In those case where folks have pulled out I move my road position, I break and I hit my horn all in one motion they either stop at that point or carry on... I've had friends who have had accidents and sustained injuries, it's part of riding a bike, but so long as your alert and careful and don't speed like the idiots do on zoom splats it's just as safe in my opinion. Good leathers will save your skin, an alert mind will help you see hazards quickly, and knowing your wheels capibilities will save your life. I will never drive a car. edit: A pocket of ball barings wouldn't go a miss either...
  3. I did eventually back up why I thought what i thought did I not? I admit my inital post was about as empty as a post could possibley be, but I didn't resort to insults which is why I made the statement I made.
  4. *sigh* of sand the doomsayer.... Give it a rest huh, the world is NOT going to bend because of your single minded will.
  5. I hate to agree with you mkreku but I do 110%...
  6. Ironic. Not really...
  7. I want Fallout 3 to be good... I'm not too fussy about perspective as it seems sensible to assume that Fallout 3 will be different in some or many ways to previous fallout games, but a post - apocalyptic game will be great regardless. Edit: BTW you're both idiots
  8. I'm interested in what the teaser is going to be like...
  9. 20 million dollars for the resulting game is a joke, the game to me doesn't reflect the investment. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
  10. Considering it's budget I can't help but see it as anything else, but I agree it isn't a constructive arguement. Did it now? Did it now? *cough* Dragons Lair *cough*. I would bloody well expect something for 20 mil. Yeah it looked good in it's day and the world does have more detail than you can wave a stick at. The whole minigames within the game such as hang on, was kinda cool, but that doesn't make a game good. Sure, but I prefer my fighting games as fighting games... Which is great if it interests you... Sure, in that respect you can see where it all went, but it does seem somewhat needless to me, like you say... It's a matter of taste. I've known alot of people who have enjoied the game, which is certainly a persons right to do so and I'm glad that folks do enjoy such games, the game didn't touch me at all, but it did try and do something new, but overall it resulted in being a HUGE waste of money on sega's part, and its overall impact on games in general appears to be very minimal... GTA's are perhaps comparative in detail to an extent, so perhap it could be deemed a great grandpa to that genre in a sense... But in the end Shenmue doesn't appeal to me.
  11. The opening theme for R-Type... Some of the Icewind Dale music was pretty darn good aswell...
  12. Shenmue is a freaking epic game. The only people who can't appreciate Shenmue are dolts or have ADD, which are you? While it does contain some quirky elements, my personal experience with the game in it's original state, on the dreamcast that is, is that it suffers from an awkward interface, rather small gameworld, and fairly linear gameplay. Considering how much it cost to produce the game, $20,000,000, I can't help but see it as a joke of a game. It try's to do too much and in that becomes great at none. There is loads of pointless content in shenmue, it isn't a game for all people, and implying I am a dolt or have ADD is comical... If you cannot make a constructive arguement don't bother saying anything at all.
  13. SHENMUE is a joke of a game...
  14. Heck, I could be anything huh... Probably go for being a Troll, shaman... and I'd probably be an actual Troll, shaman... Awesome... Wait I really am a Troll ARF!
  15. I think one of their slogans is something like "after using Blender, youll wish that every program worked like this". By which, I asume, they mean that once youve started wearing your trousers backwards, itll feel funny to turn them right again But I dont know, maybe it IS great once you know how to use it. Such folks are rare... And also tend to be hobbiest opposed to professionals. I do know a couple though, although one of them is now in management, and the other quit his job, citing that he no longer desieres to develop computer games.
  16. OOO OOO I'm a programmer and I can kinda use Photoshop... !
  17. Dunno. You could easily call their 'moving parts', i.e. critters and spell effects, nasty - but A) i dont have as much a fixation on good looking weapons, B) they didnt detract that much for me and C) I've never played this commandos you people talk about. BG2 certainly isn't the best looking 2D game out there. So your A & B points are really of no consequence. Heck, I don't know what I would say is the best looking 2D game but there sure is alot of nasty 2D art in IE games.
  18. If BG2 was the very pinnacle as you put it, then that explains the general move to 3D BG2 had some really awesome hand drawn backgrounds, everything else is pretty nasty.
  19. I'm always down with the drinking. I just learned how to torpedo a bottle of beer a few weeks back -- that's some fun times, right there. My favorite drink is the "irish car bomb" which I highly recommend, if you're good at drinking quickly. [disclaimer]And, of course, if anyone reading this is not over 21 (or whatever the legal age is in your area) I would recommend not drinking at all[/disclaimer] Irish car bomb lol What's that guiness and baileys ? If my memory serves, utterly revolting!
  20. Keeping the Programmer fueled! OH YEAH!
  21. YUM! XP FARMING! Especially when you deliberately seek out the random Enclave encounters. EXPs and Loot! May aswell be playing an MMO!
  22. Using the secret divisions we have hidden in the Wales? We've got about fifteen loggies and a regimental goat on standby as strategic reserve. You must fear the regimental goat!
