Was The Juice Worth The Sqeeze?
G@mbIT replied to CorrodingAngel's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Methinks some people are having faulty nostalgic memories about KOTOR. It was a good game, but 'insulting it's legend' implies that it has one, which it never did. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For some, it does. K1 was the best RPG to me since Planescape Torment & Anachronox. -
Sure, the question option shouldn't be removed for those guys who started playing with K2. And yes, it would be also possible to have a revan who is exactly like you 'left' him in K2, so with female body for example and all the stuff (lightsaber color(s)) and preferences.

which light side prestige class is best?
G@mbIT replied to shortarabguy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It doesn't really matter. Seriously. You will become uber jedi either way. Check this link for futher information if you are interested: http://www.lucasarts.com/games/swkotor_sit...editraining.pdf -
One feature which could have make the game probably even easier to develop, would have been to make it possible to import a K1 final savegame. So based on this, you might see Carth again or not, Bastila got light or dark side etc. So your ending of K1 does actually matter for the storyline of K2. It would also raise the replay value of K1 Maybe that would be a nice addition for K3... P.S.: Ok, i admit, it would probably not make the game easier to develop, but i personally think this would be a very interesting approach nonetheless

Best lightsaber components and where to find them
G@mbIT replied to sharky's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This actually works? From what i've read, a bug (?) within the game always uses the repair skill of the PC for the create item calculation, regardless of who is actually using the workbench. I mean, without that bug, it would render the Sentinel almost useless, besides maybe at the beginning on Peragus. -
Quaff some Potions of Mana I'd say "

Hahaha, I just got done reading it, and noticed Juhani's name a couple of times. I was like wtf? Am I reading the correct walkthrough here? roflmao - dr cloak <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably Juhani is the twisted evil twin of handmaiden "

I mean, does a gameguide for K2 really matter that much? I have the strange feeling you can be the uberhero in K2 regardless of your class/stat/skill/feat/force choices. Looking at my char, who is Sentinel 15/Watchman 10 at the moment, i never had any problem with any enemy or task on 'normal'. I really can't think of any advantage a guardian (as i already win every battle) or consular (force wave on max is sufficient and already works 90% of times) could give me. This is surely nice for roleplaying purposes, i.e. you can play your own style and still have success. Though on the other hand, i am one of those freaks who always liked to have a near-optimal char setup for approaching the game "

Yeah right. Problem is, i think i gained influence on her about six times (at this point , Atton already begged me to teach him to become a jedi). Now i don't have any conversation options left with her BTW, i take her with me on almost every quest...

I am personally really sick of the MMORPG flood these days. I prefer a good story-based single player RGP anytime. Sadly enough, this kinda game became very rare. I am one of those stupid guys who still reminiscent of titles like Planescape: Torment, Baldurs Gate and even Icewind Dale II

So, I beat Handmaiden three times in her martial arts. Now, the only thing she tells me is: 'Perhaps we can discuss that later'. She is level 16 while my PC is already 25 (I saved her level-ups for the jedi levels i.e.) Do I have to wait until end game?

Dual light sabers, one light saber, or double-blad
G@mbIT replied to Steidart's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, actually striking with a light saber is forcing matter into matter. So if you are stronger, you can push one matter (lightsaber) deeper inside the other matter (the target). It would make sense to make it dex based only if the lightsaber would simply cut through anything like butter. -
ANNOUNCEMENT:Referring To Bug Fixs In K2!
G@mbIT replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is a german game known as 'Sacred' (http://eng.sacred-game.com/index.php) which is kinda 'Diablo II Advanced'. Well, the first release was buggy like hell. But fortunatly, the developers decided to fix that. Nowadays, owners of the orginal game may download all the recent patches/fixes and add-ons in one package for free (~100MB), get sent a cd with those things for free too if they like and also, theres a 'Sacred Second Edition' out in stores, which already includes all the mentioned stuff for those who did not buy the game yet. -
ANNOUNCEMENT:Referring To Bug Fixs In K2!
G@mbIT replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Err, the 'popping' textures in the in-game videos in Halo2 aren't necessary, cause the engine could easily do without it. So its a bug But to be honest, this is no game breaking bug, unlike many in Kotor2. Still, I enjoy playing Kotor2 alot -
LS ending had some similarities to the ending of SW Episode IV "

Remember when you first meet Kreia and she 'looks' dead? Well, she is a Zombie

I read alot about the pros and cons for each class, as well for stats and feats etc. To me it seems, to get the best overall gameplay experience, you should start out as Sentinel. You get decent combat, decent forcepower and many many skill points to distribute. My approach would be: STR 10 (weapons are more important for dealing damage in the end) DEX 13 (AC bonus and BAB bonus via finesse) CON 15 (to be able to use the fine implants which exist in K2) INT 14 (Int helps in both, getting skills points and give alot dialog options) WIS 13 (force power and saves) CHA 11 (which you might switch with CON, whatever you prefer). You can get the next round stat number (and therefor, better bonus) easily for almost every stat even with the items you find in the first 1-2 hours. Spend one feat on having repair as class skill if possible (create/breakdown items), and distribute the skills points like you whish. Though, to me repair, treat insury, sneak, security, awareness and persuade are very important for you PC. Finally, unlike K1, skills are very important in K2
-
Maybe this is just another 'version' of the bug which is that for creating items, in any case the repair skill of the PC is taken into account, rather than the one of the NPC who is actually using the workbench?
-
I've seen worse "
-
is, to be honest, you actually remember name and personality of the NPCs. There are not much games around you can refer to some situation/event by just mentioning names. It's like not telling 'bout this 'guy' or that 'chick' but rather 'bout 'Carth' and 'Handmaiden' I had this experience last time while playing 'Planescape: Torment' Possibly this is a general sign of a good game. My 2 cents
-
No complains on this setup? I have the strange feeiling an extreme elaborated character isn't worth the time spent for it in Kotor 2 anyway (?) <_<
-
Many thanks. But do the items you can create at the workbench differ from the items which can be found in-game anyway?
