  1. He/ or she is right and this is definitely a glitch in the game (big surprise huh) Once again they needed another couple of months to make this a real game, in the first one you could be good evil or neutral in this game you pretty much have to be good or evil or things don't work correctly
  2. Huh? you can't get a prestige class until level 15 . . .
  3. I went with two handed (also dissing single) from an early state, also went with finesse, which allowed me to improve my chance to hit and defense, therefore being able to disregard the defense bonus of dueling. I am not sure if this was the right way to go as I was doing about ten points less of damage than your build. But at high levels it didn't matter as I was killing everything (except bosses) with one attack (or really six attacks).
  4. For those of you who are disappointed in the game, check out this link very similar to everything that has been said (I am not sure if it will be in link format so you may have to cut and paste) http://www.wired.com/news/games/0,2101,660...tory_page_next1 ooops that is to the second page here is the first http://www.wired.com/news/games/0,2101,660...html?tw=rss.CUL
  5. Go to Dantooine and enter the rebuilt jedi council hall (the entrance that was caved in before)
  6. Saving them won't be as fun as you think I will hide the rest in a spoiler But I did, on accident the first time not knowing that they could become Jedi, sandbag Handmaiden until she became a jedi, which made her a very, very powerful Jedi
  7. Heard the same rumor about a certain persons robes, also heard that they are +31 to defense. anyone able to confirm this?????
  8. SO do I have to finish the game four times to figure out everything? One with me LS and Revan LS One with me LS and Revan DS One with me DS and Revan LS and One with me DS and Revan DS I just want to know if all of these are different?
  9. Yep, same thing, one point cost until 14 then two point cost until 16 three points above that. There are enough point to move all of your stats but one to 14 (with the final one stuck at
  10. I thnik my game is somewhat broke . . . After winning all I see is the ship fly away, nothing else Have heard some people talk about hearing something about Revan or something else. Is this just from the final conversation with Kriea or was there something else?
  11. Someone (i.e. master overseers of the forums) need to put all these threads together and sticky them. Everyone it seems has posted something like this about how poor the storyline is.
  12. To NNTakot Actually, some of those are words. Some mean what you think, like replacing and with. And others are words, but don't mean what people use them for. Be careful when poking fun at people you open yourself up to criticism.
  13. now that I think about it, you do fight Revan, the last battle in the tomb, alone against no one else. But, he doesn't have his own lightsaber, Malak does, but as I said it is nothing special.
  14. Didn't do it on purpose, but I sandbagged the handmaiden and she became a very, very powerful jedi (almost as strong as the mc). Played with Atton and Bao almost all the time so never had the chance to level her up. I would say the best rule of thumb is not to level up anyone until you have them in your party and will be fighting. Still seems a little cheap to me, but this is from the person who didn't level past two in KOTOR until becoming a Jedi just to go the rest of the way with no one in my party except me on difficult (challenging, but fun).
  15. I also loved it and hated it. I liked the idea of having to win the trust of your people and such. Not having them blindly follow you. But they need to add more (lie) options. When you are a good person it is easy to get influence over good people, but when you are bad you should be able to play the Palpatine role and be sneaky (think of how palpy has manipulated anakin so far). Most of the time that I try to gain influence with people I am trying to manipulate them, but then I end up with light side points. I think that if it is done again only your actions should be determinate of ls and ds and words (and influence) but words only affect influence (in case I am lying to get it) The other thing that I missed, throw some conversations that are affected only by level (like the previously mentioned Canderous stories and Jolee rants). I played a lot with Atton, but seemed to gain influence with him one sec and then lose it the next so like the other post only had the pazaak option with him ever opened up. Influece should be important but not the only driving factor (especially when a ds character has a hard time perverting a good char, because it takes some much ls to get there influence before turning them).
  16. The vision is of Malak, not Revan that you fight . . . 90% of what you find in the game is by chance (with the exception of the Peragus, where everything is predetermined) and certain places (like tombs, big battles, etc.) where you find specific things. They changed the game to drop random instead of the same to add to replayabiity. Those of you looking, yearning for Malaks lightsaber, don't worry if you don't get it. It has the same stats as a normal lightsaber (excpet that it is not upgradeable but it is balanced) therefore it is similar to a short lightsaber, and better, unless the short saber is upgraded. I also heard the Jolee Bindo +31 armor bonus robes, but I have to assume that the guide was misprinted and it is supposed to say +3. Has anyone gotten it?
  17. I agree with everyone above. The story was awesome until Malachor V. NPC interactions, especially the romance plots, were either bugged or poorly executed. The ending was poorly executed. I expected so much better from the designers of PS:T & Fallout. Don't get me wrong, I still love the game, but I'd rate it as 9.5/10 for the first 38 hours and 6.5/10 for the last two hours and the ending. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So right. I was so angry after the first time through I didn't want to play a second time, but playing through the second time (DS this time) I remembered how much I liked the first part of the game. The beginning is so well done and the ending is so bad that that is all I remembered after first finishing it. Someone said this earlier, but the end feels like someone wrote it for a term paper and was running out of time . . . so many things happen that do not make sense or follow through . . . a couple examples Mira is on her way to help you, she fights the wookie says she is in a hurry (I assume to come help me out), and then nothing. The little remote is standing next to G0-T0 looking like there is going to be a fight, and then nothing. HK mentions the droid factory, sounds like you are going to go there and destroy it, and then nothing G0-T0 destroys the little remote on the ship, and then the remote is back with no explanation. Kreia revives the wookie and the colonel, i expect them to have some major importance, but no they appear again but do nothing important. The entire game, you feel that you are fighting for or agains the republic and the jedi, then everything changes (which would not be that bad if done correctly) but the explanation of what I am fighting for is poor. And finally, the companion interactions are not as good as 1. Characters are in love with you from the second they meet (especially if you pick them up late). There is no build-up. In the first one, there was a progressive feel to conversations. I think this stems from the random character pick-up for important characters (in 1 the important chars - Bastilla and Carth, are with you from early in the game and you have multiple chars before you havef an option of where to go, in this one you can pick up important chars very late) I picked up Mira just before heading to Dantooine to meet with the entire Jedi Council. This leads to silly conversation, interactions and fights where people talk like they have been travelling together for a while when you just walked on the ship with someone for the first time. All of this comes back to the rushed feeling. I agree a couple more months of dev and testing would have fixed this.
  18. You didn't understand the point, but I figured it out. I was playing though the second time, and since it was too easy the first time, put the difficulty at High. With the difficulty on high the droids demolitions skill was not high enough to plant the mine . . . once I put it on normal again, everything worked. But I still think this is a problem that shouldn't have existed.
  19. Look at the other Nar posts I put a list of the 12 or so different things you can do to make the game continue
  20. Exactly . . . I couldn't agree with you more, the game was very rushed and at one point I chose one person to go with me on a mission started the mission and then they removed them from the party and replaced them with someonelse. Visas gives me the option of telling her to not come, but then comes anyways. I was so pissed that I had to take Visas and Mandalore that I ran through the first room of the Ravager, let them get killed and finished it with just my mc. You take time to build characters and then you can't use them. The handmaiden is gone for almost the entire end of the game. You should read the other thread, a lot of people agree
  21. In general the whole thing is confusing, but specifically at the end. Maybe I did something wrong but, Mira (who was in my party for like two seconds since I chose to do Nar last, I mean I had done everything without her I got her and went to Dantooine for the Jedi Council meeting) is now this important character who comes to help me, defeats the wookie, says she has to hurry off to do something (I assumed help me) but doesn't show up. The little remote is ready for a standoff with GO-TO, but we never come back to it. Kreia talks about all these 'force sensitives' but I never got enough influence to make any of them jedi so that was weird. (I thought I would lose influence if I told the HM to put on clothes, got no where with Atton, had Mira for a NY minute, and for some reason Bao-Dur's option never came up, even though I used him all the time). It really feels like they had more planned for the end - either I did something so that it didn't happen or they just ran out of time to finish it. Previous posts that talks about Kreia resurrecting those two characters - why? So, I could meet one of them on the ship and the other could fight Mira at the end. I really thought there would be more to it. And to the last point, since I did Nar last, my char was level 23 when he was tricked by a level 6 bounty hunter (while wearing a breath mask which should have made me immune to the air) then captured by GOTO. It was silly, I like the idea of the main char being captured or subdued (like the original), but not by Mira and not at level 23. I loved the idea of having missions without the mc (which were pulled off well, like the Ship mission from the original)
  22. Yeah, at the end it was all about using master speed before opening a door, run into the middle of everyone, use force push, and then beat everyone up with master flurry, use push again, etc. got kinda predictable and was too easy,
  23. Here was mine Guardian (15) / Weapon Master(12) (obviously LS) Stats starting - 14 for everything except strength (which I left at level up - all towards dex with equip at 27 - str 19, dex 29, con 16, int 18, wis 22, char 20 key feats finesse lightsaber (must have) two hand fighting flurry (having no pens at master level was a mistake) WP Lightsaber Power Heal Speed Force Wave DB Lightsaber dmg was 23-56 with +45 to attack (19-52 +43 for offhand) Def - 37
  24. Maybe it was because I went the easy path Guardian/Weapon Master, but there wasn't any challenging fights. Were the fights any better with another build? Did anyone try using the hard combat setting (I am thinking about tring that the next time through) (though I will admit the pazaak and swoop racing side quests were very challenging and lots of fun)
