So why do the player have the possibility for flirt with other vampires, and not only with humans? It's not like it really matters, right?
-
I don

It might be overrated. But since I can't do anything myself. I'd rather use CEP, than nothing at all. But that depends on situation.

Try to play as a Toreador, and then try to play as a Nosferatu. You will see the difference. You cannot dream of playing Nosferatu running around the streets, and count on maintaining the Masquarade. Here are some comments on what annoyed me: * The first thing that annoys me is the bugs. Yes I did see the bugs. One was where the game crashed when trying to travel by boat. And the other one is when I have to push a thingy that blocks a door, and nothing happens. The door continues to be blocked. Both are fixable with giving console commands, but it shouldn't be that way. * Second thing is that some bosses can only be defeated by "tactics" - meaning by figuring out the weaknesses of the AI, and using them to your advantage. * Thirdly, while I like the fact that for a change I could play a roguish character and actually sneak my way through everything. The better I got, the odder it became. For example I could break windows without anyone seeing me. * Once again, the developers think that you are either plaing male, or female gay... except for one male ghoul, you can only flirt around with females.... * Combining together shootemup action with skills, makes for frustrating combat. Why do I have to aim right with the gun, when the skill of my character makes it miss anyway?? And if I as a player don't aim good enough, then I'll miss, no matter the skill of the character. * Also, why give you possibility to build a character who sucks at fighting, when the only way to win the game, is by fighting?? and lots of fighting.. * Oh.. and the fact that I can't choose if I want to fight 1st or 3rd person. Every time I unsheath a melee weapon, the game goes to 3rd person view! * The flamethrower!!! BOOOOOOOOH!!! OK, now to all the pluses * The fact that you don't get xp per kill, but per finished quest is something I really love. You could say that you get xp per encounter, or goal-oriented xp. Sometimes not killing all the opponents (or actually not killing any of them) gives you more xp, then killing. * the fact that the gameplay differs according to what clan you belong to, and what skills you have. Different quests can be finished in many different ways. YAY!! (pitty, that this is true mostly to sidequests) * the feeling that you are just a pawn among scheming vampires, not a big hero, is a big thing for me. You don't get acknowledged for your skills, untill pretty much the end of the game. Also, you know that the prince sends you out, not because he acutally thinks that you accomplish his quests, but because he thinks that you'll probably die and cease to be his problem. But if you, for some unkown reason manage to fulfill the quest - that's a gain for him as well. * the ovarall feeling of the game, that you are taking on things you better should leave alone, that you have been dragged into something you don't really want to be part of, but don't have any choice anymore. * The severed arm!!! And it's all I have to say about it Do you know what I would have loved to have in the game? Don't laugh. But I would have loved romance plot with Nine Rodriguez

*coughs* You would be surprised to know how many "cracked" versions of XP are out there. And how easy it is to get them to work, and even get updates. Al you need is a valid key.

Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing (or player) Game

Obsidian is there, but they are on holiday. As this is place where you and me post on our free time. This is work for Obsidian. And well, most people don't work on New Year.
-
The number that sais 1500 are the people who went on holiday through official holiday companies. The other people are those that are harder to count, because they just bought plain tickets and fix everything themselves. The official number of missing is 3559. the number of people we know are dead is 44. But they fear it can be as many as 1000. Most of them children, because when the wave came - most of the children were where children usually are on a holiday - on the beach.
-
You don't even need to crack games. There are cd emulators out there, which copy the entire cds, with the protection and all. There are protections out there, that check if your computer has a cd emulator opened, but there is always way around it.. My biggest favorit, was a game I bought, that had so nitpicking protection on it, that it was impossible to play it.. And I had the legit copy...

Wouldn't surprise me, since Bluetooth was actually being created by the Scandinavians

Yes, we want people to state their reasons behind their choices anyway, so the voting bumps are only annoing.

What do you usualy use math for in making a game?

I believe mathematical logic is the worst *shudders* algebra was piece of cake, so was statistics compared to that thing.. -
SARS? I would actually vote on chicken flue. It's possible, and seems more deadly. The amount of missing Swedes have been shortened down to 1,000, but still topping the least of missing tourists. Norway comes closely behind with 700+. This seems to be the biggest tragedy for Sweden since the Estonia in the 90s, and THE biggest post WW2 catastrophy in Norway. (If you wonder why so few make such a big catastrophy - there's only around 9,000,000 people living here). Of course, nothing we can come up with even comes near in the comparison with the suffering countries hit by the tsunami.. *shudders* this was a great Christmass present... I keep seeing this enormous wave in front of me.. probably because I saw "Day after Tomorrow" just day before this all happened.

American, I think the Polish donuts will scare them.. On the other hand. Bring Polish donuts...

Witaj!! *wykonuje maly taniec radosci* And bring donuts!

They also have the problem with identification. Due to the lack of the proper body-storage (i.e - morgues with freezers - too many bodies, no electricity, things like that), they have to be identified quickly. Which is problematic considering the body-count and the fact that people/bodies where moved long distances by the water.

Don't be harsh on yourself. We are all realizing the terrible situation down there. Our thoughts are with the people who are dealing with the tragedy, loss, and destruction. Both with the families who lost everything, and the people who are there trying to help.
-
I don't think it's wobbling now..
-
The death "counter" is now up in over 60,000!!!
-
Truly too cute.. Sleep? isn't it.. oh wait.. While it's 4 pm here, it could be anything over there..

Yep, there are three tourist companies who are missing around 500 tourists each. One of them is "Fritidsresor" who had over 1000 tourists around the place, and have located 490 or something like that. Missing doesn't have to mean that they are dead. Some people are trying to get out of there on their own. And don't give a damn in informing the companies. When they hear of the missing people who somehow managed to get to the capitol, they just check them off the list. Sri Lanka, Tailand and so forth are very popular places for Swedes. There are 8 Swedes confirmed dead. The first day I heard about the situation, first they spoke of 10,000 dead people, then went on about 4 dead Swedes. While it's terrible for the family's of the 4 dead Swedes, it must be a lot worse for those down there who lost everything! not only family members... On one side 44,000 dead and the people who survived lost everything.... on the other 1500 missing who when found can go home and continue their normal lives... Yeah.. I know what is more scary...

These parts have high amounts of tourists. For example 1500 Swedish turists are missing. When it comes to earthquakes and tsunamis, there is possibility to issue warnings. I read in a paper today, that there could have been a warning, but some guys (don't ask me who) decided that creating panic would have been negative for the tourist industry. but thousands upon thousands dead, hurt and missing inhabitants and tourists, with too little food and no papers that can help them to get home... That bound to be a REAL boost for their tourist industry... Good work.
