Anyone catch the Mandalorian/BH comment @ the end?
Vistaer replied to mrtauntaun's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Boba didnt die by the hand of a jedi... rather by the hand of a blind smuggler who knocked boba off the side of a hover-ship by accident into a sarlac pit Jango however got wiped out by a Jedi. One who no doubt once said "Hand me my lightsaber. Its the one that says bad muthaf***a on it" -

Bith scientist and speeder(spoiler)
Vistaer replied to Lacan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The bith scientist quest is finished... however its effects will come into play later in the game when you get a new party member -
Handmaiden also comments on Visas, and your responce will affect Handmaiden's influence.

I'd rather not have a party member than have a wookie... I really hate wookies. Why couldnt Czerka just keep them enslaved like I told them to in KotOR 1?

Malachor V and other Areas: Design Commentary
Vistaer replied to DarthNipples's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Malachor V was a horrible design, I agree. I couldnt but feel like it was a level right out of Hexen. Personally, I would have done something far more ominous if I were in charge of the level design. I probably would have had it be a MASSIVE valley (think grand canyon in depth and width of the canyon) with the area beneath expelling the green aura we could see from orbit, while you could have a CLEAR view of a rampaging storm above. At the mouth of the canyon would have been the temple, and the whole world would have felt like a world both dark and ominous, and very very dead. Such an area like along the side of canyon would have been good for a final confrontation between Hannaar and Mira, as when Hannarr is defeated, he is hanging onto the edge of the cliff, and Mira could have tried to save him only to have him be overcome with the idea of having to serve the lifedebt again and choose to just fall (similar to luke in Empire Strikes Back) or if you are playing Hannarr, he could have simply defeated her, and thrown her into the canyon, like the Emperor's fate in RotJ. (recreating moments like those in star wars is important I have to say, Peragus was very good level design also. I thought Telos was OK, though I would have rearranged it so Czerka, Exchange, Cantina, Ithorian, Medical Center, Shop, and TSF would have been in one large "hub" sector, a residence sector, and then the docking sector. Dantooine was well balanced, but my favorite planet had to be Onderon. The spaceport could have been made to feel more like a spaceport, but the city was well designed I think. I just wish there had been a couple more areas to it (like a residential area or more of a "market" feel to the center of the city) and some more quests definatly. -
G0-T0 can become "highly influenced" through his regular dialogue tree (which doesnt require you to leave the Ebon Hawk. Other characters are like this too, such as Visas, Handmaiden, and T3-M4)

As some may know, KotOR 1 for the PC has a massive array of Mods, from some that let you wear the revan hooded cloak and mask to being able to return to Dantooine and fight the Sith invasion. I was curious if obsidian is intending to not officially condone any modifications, and whether they are planning to make the game much harder to modify.

Good Idea. I may pick one up

Much later in the game

Dunno, you can describe it, but even if you choose the "it was unique..." option... well, its not a unique color or such; I found two lightsabers with such gems later on in the game.

Bao-Hur: On Telos, at the Academy, when he, Kreia, and Anton are released from their cells, he appologizes for being knocked unconcious. Reassure him it is OK, and not his fault and influence will be gained (As will LS points I believe). T3-M4: When you free him from his cell on Telos at the academy, reassure him its OK he got captured and you will gain influence (And LS points I believe)

help beating drook on datooine
Vistaer replied to whitethunder's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Run around to behind the plants/desk until he loses his line of sight to you and therefore starts chasing. Plant a bunch of mines, lure him to them, and down he goes. Cheap, yea, but effective. Who said Dark Siders play by the rules anyway? -
Im on my 2nd time playing through and I want to influence Bao-Dur this time, however aside from telling him it was OK that he got knocked out when we crashed at the academy on Telos, I dont seem to get ANY dialogue options that allow such. Anyone having any luck with it?

What the funk do I do on Telos?
Vistaer replied to JediMafia's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You encounter them on the surface of telos later. I dont think you can return her to her husband if you chose to keep her enslaved. And finally, I dont think you can access Czerka docks UNLESS you help Czerka or you help the smuggler out. -
It doesnt =(

Bought it from the junk guy in Nar Shaddaar next to swoop track

That's what I did. It's cheap, but hey, I'm darkside, if I want the bartender to be my human shield, he can be

I -LOVE- it. It meats KotOR's excellence on many levels, and surpasses on many others (especially in terms of making you feel more connected to your party). Now my review =) Non-spoilerous section: Remarkable game. Character development, customization, immersion, and open-ended gameplay was truely excellent. Seeing my choices affect the course of everyone from the Galaxy as a whole to planetary governments and powers, to the fate of the Jedi and Sith themselves, right down to the lives your party members shall lead long after your adventure is over is excellent and a very satisfying experience. Technically speaking, the game is very good. I saw some bugs in the game, a couple optional quests that broke (as in you have but cant finish because something else happened and say that guy you need to talk to is now dead) but overall I never met with anything that really stopped my enjoyment of the game. Framerates are th obvious, persistant problem, but as KotOR 1 also had these too, I don't blame Obsidian. The only thing I frown about is there is no XBox live support, which means I can't download any patches that could fix minor problems, or even better more planets/quests like KotOR's 1's Yavin IV Download. Story was very extensive and brought a lot of depth to the KotOR timeline. None of it felt like dead weight either. Whether I was learning more about a criminal organization, to why there seem to be more and more Mercenaries around, to the Jedi and Sith itself, I was always very interested in hearing about it. The star wars experience was so excellent too. I would be sitting there, either talking to someone, and a line would suddenly make me think of say Empire Strikes Back, or I'd see a new "costume" for Mira and automatically think of Return of the Jedi or have a quick cutscene of seeing a laser turret popping out of the ebon hawk in a hanger to kill some sith and automatically be reminded of that scene of the Millenium falcon's escape in A New Hope. All of this stuff really helped make KotOR feel like it was really part of the Star Wars Universe. Overall, I need to say that this game was one of the better RPGs I've played in a while. I would even go so far as to say it beats KotOR 1. Spoilerous Section This game left me deeply wanting a third KotOR, which I PRAY Obsidian gets the rights to. Something which will obviously build on the end of KotOR 2 and deals with the and hopefully will tie even more deeply into Revan and the other ancient Sith Lords like Exar Kun and such. I have to say though, this game had some VERY satisfying moments, such as on Onderon where you or near the end of the game on Telos where . I need to say though, the party was so much better this time around. The fact different people will join depending on certain things like whether you're light or darkside, male, or female really seems fun. The character depth also was excellent and to see how some of your characters tied deeply into the history of the galaxy was awesome to learn. I just can't wait for KotOR 3. I hope BioWare's code-monkies can improve the engine a tad (mainly for better framerates) while Obsidian gets the licence to develop the third one

Addition is done before subtraction, so you're basically doing... 12-17=13 which is obviously not correct =) No, I never took the time to do the question either btw
-
I was able to purchase his Processor from the junk dealer on Nar Shaddar, so I dunno if you can buy other parts throughout the galaxy.
-
Deciple?? I never knew there was a party member there. I think I know who you're talking about. Was he the guy in the Jedi Library? If so, I saw that guy, but he ended up
-
I cant seem to get any conversation with him, not after I spoke with him on Telos when I first got him anyway, so I wouldnt know if you can change him. As for his little companion... I didnt fight with him much, but his companion seems a bit... useless.
