  1. Great fanart, y'all! Why not post it here: www.kotorfanmedia.com There's a whole forum there dedicated to fan art and fanfic, too.
  2. Nah, you're not the only one. You're just not in the right place. As for you, Fish, why not check out the Elder Scrolls' official forums. You came here for KOTORII, so try www.elderscrolls.com for Morrowind. I love Morrowind, but then again I love to *actually* role-play, and Morrowind has offered the most freedom to do so of any game I've played. I also think the skill and leveling system makes the most sense of any RPG I've played. But I like KOTOR, as well. I guess I'm an exception for being able to like both...
  3. Well, from all the posts here, If I were developing KOTORIII, I would let the player choose Revan again, but set the Exile as something. I think it matters less what the Exile was, since there weren't any romances to speak of, and it didn't matter which way you went. The life/death of your companions at the end didn't depend on the Exile's gender or alignment.
  4. Not in order (I couldn't do it). These are all games I still have on my computer and I still play them. Morrowind Baldur's Gate I and II IWD I and II Planescape: Torment KOTOR Divine Divinity (only the first one) Gothic I and II NWN and expansions I've currently just started Bloodlines...we'll see if that falls on the list when I'm done.
  5. I'm a freedom-lover. Immersion, too. I could care less about combat, as long as I can role-play. I'm an old woman...twitchy button mashing is not my idea of a good RPG. I just don't have the hand-eye coordination for it... That being said, my ideal CRPG (so far) is Morrowind. It seems that will earn me heaps of scorn and derision here, but the fact that I'm still playing and modding it 3 years after its release says a lot. I'm not saying Morrowind is perfect, but not being forced to do ANYTHING and being allowed to do whatever I want is very appealing to me.
  6. Sorry, that's not really what my beef is with it. I'm not a good communicator when buzzed. What I meant was for those parts of the story that were vital to the main plot, like what Farfa said. You have to give up LS mastery and do some DS things to get some important info from Kreia (as an example). THAT's where I think the system is poorly implemented.
  7. I don't know...I get the feeling that while it was supposed to be the PC influencing the party members, it really ended up being the party members influenced the PCs actions. I should be able to get Mandalore's story because he likes me enough, NOT depending on whether I do or say DS things. As it is, I have to be essentially DS to get his story...which I'm not (when I'm playing LS). A true "influence system" would have the PC changing Mandalore to the LS, and all of his info/conversation options reflecting that. I shouldn't have to have my LS master go kill innocents in order to get a party member to like her more. That's forcing my PC to do something out of character. Hunh...maybe I'm the only one who appreciates role-playing anymore? I wish I could explain this better, but it's late and I'm working on my fourth glass of wine...
  8. I was researching this problem on another msgboard and the problem seems to be that when a cut-scene runs, the ini gamma setting is somehow reset to 0. I haven't been able to test this. However, it doesn't account for the lack of AA too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bifack, From my experiences, I think this is something in the Aurora/Odyssey engine, because not only does this exact same thing happen to me in KOTOR 1 and 2, but in NWN and its expansions, as well. I'm no computer genius, but maybe a cutscene resets all of the card-related ini settings to default. It's weird, this also happens to my sound settings (I did a little test). It's the exact same problem. It's very strange. And using different drivers doesn't help me at all.
  9. Oh, good, someone else who has this problem. Well, not good, but at least I'm not alone. :D "update your drivers" didn't work for me. It still happens whether I'm running Catalyst 4.11, 5.2, or anything else. The only games that have this problem for me are those that use the Aurora/Odyssey engine (KOTOR 1 and 2, NWN and expansions). Interesting. I don't want to throw in the towel on ATI because all of my other games look spectacular.
  10. I can't finish it on my XBox. It's too glitchy and now that I'm on Malachor, it freezes on loading about 1 time out of 3. I plan on getting it for PC because I want to give it another shot. I have a feeling I still won't like it as much as KOTOR I, mainly because of all the teen angst that was put into the characters and their relationships, the broken influence system, and the missing/incomplete content...but maybe not! :D Epiphany, that whole exchange between you and Trooper earlier in the thread made me very happy. I think I love you.
  11. You know, if you think about it, HK is pretty dead-on with that definition if you take it as a metaphor... :D
  12. Conrad's Heart of Darkness, my good man. I know you all know that Apocalypse Now was based on that book, right? Read it...it's so much better.
  13. Yep, I saw it. Heartbreaking. Well, at least to those of us who loved the Carth/Revan romance. Very well done.
  14. off topic - if Morrowind was crap, then why are so many still playing and modding it almost 3 years after it came out? on topic - I'm still processing, butI am leaning toward agreeing with Boiler on this one. Maybe I didn't explore all of the influence options, but there were many "WTF"s for me, as well. I'm going to go try to play a DS character now, though I have a feeling I'm just falling into a trap...that no more of my questions will be answered. I also greatly missed the character development that was present in KOTOR I.
  15. Hi. I was wondering where I can find all of the parts to fix HK-47? I've got all but the Droid Chassis...anybody know where to get it? Thanks!
