the truth is that we find this more amusing than getting banned for something real. all the stuff we has gotten away with over the years, and their dumb board does job for 'em... by accident. *shrug* is first day we has posted there in months too... maybe we take as a sign. no biggie... just kinda amusing. HA! Good Fun!

we tried to make the following post... got auto banned. "The line between, "Just flavor" and "impacting the game" is blurry and rather subjective, I think." really? some things seem pretty obvious as being "flavor" aspects. how many of us is linguists? noam chomsky in the crowd tonight is he? have your dwarves speak a distinct and coherent language with its own rational and coherent rules impacts gameplay or story in what way? have your damn dwarves speak norski, but backwards, and who amongst us is gonna know or care... and how on earth would authentic "dwarvish" impact story or gameplay to any recognizable degree. 1) design authentic coat of arms for shield devices. spend lots of time doing so. make sure that all coats of arms that show up in game is appropriate and authentic. 2) lets characters design their own coat of arms in game

the browns beat the ravens in week 1. anything is possible in the nfl. HA! Good Fun!

"I still don't see anything about Krenzel that tells me he can't be a decent QB if he got a job. Not saying he's the next Johnny U...." just watch film of krenzel. bad feet. average arm, and worst of all, he not seem to notice where safeties is most of the time. he gots those "intangibles" that every winning college qb gots, but he not have much skills. look at heisman trophy and nc winning college qbs with intangibles over the past 20 years. we will takes impeccable mechanics, superior arm strength, and ability to read and react to d quickly over intangibles any day of the week. the d could be good, but even there we gots questions. urlacher would be solid at lb, but he ain't healthy, and briggs is still learning how to play lb. heck, he was used as a fb as much as lb at arizona... but he has talent. odom looks a little confused far too often. and the depth behind those guys is 0. the line has some potential stars, but they is young and they is chronic underachievers. the knock on harris were that he took plays off at oklahoma... and tank johnson took whole games off. the corners is just plain scary. the really depressing thing is that detroit is probably the worst team (other than the bears,) in the nfc north, and the bears already lost their home game with

... aren't you just a mindless american who isn't 'posed to be able to think for himself? HA! Good Fun!

as long as jerry angelo is with the bears, there is no chance that krenzel becomes regular starter. fill in 'cause of injury and run the scout team is what krenzel is there for. david terrell is the guy that bothers us most on the bears roster. every week he is gonna do something that gets himself in papers... good and bad. whether the bears win or lose, there will always be some sorta david terrell "issue." given the fact that the bears already seems to have some discipline issues (just look at the penalties during pre-season and game 1,) we not think that having terrell as a starting receiver will help the team in long run. offensive line and secondary is where bears has the biggest skill problems, and the injury situations has made those areas even worse, but a rookie head coach can afford to lose games as long as his team seems to be getting better or is moving in a positive direction. penalties is ALWAYS a sign o' bad coaching, and letting a maniac like terrell run loose is yet another sign o' questionable coaching. we think that l. smith can be a good head coach, but right now it looks like he don't have control of the bears. is a bad start. HA! Good Fun! p.s. grossman didn't play that badly. if the bears TEs would hold onto the ball, and if grossman got a little more protection or the line could generate a consistent running game, grossman woulda' looked great. as it was, he looked ok. made some good reads and some bad reads. he also made some throws that few qbs in the nfl coulda' made. krenzel rides pine unless grossman AND quinn go down... and then there is a tough choice 'tween dinwiddie and krenzel.
-
krenzel gots no chance of being a regular starter in the nfl. average arm, and questionable mechanics is bad 'nuff but in spite of fact that he is a very smart kid, he not read defense well in college, and pro game is much faster. see him pick up on 2nd or 3rd receiver? not likely. he is a good student, watches film diligently and will be prepared every sunday, but his nfl career, if he has one, will be as a back-up and placekick holder. is a shame that being a smart person not make you a smart qb. if real world smarts translated on football field, brett favre would never have left the state o' mississippi... be nothing more than some quirky regional oddity... a Deliverence type yokel with a particularly live arm. HA! Good Fun!

you make no sense. "It seems that PC development was comparitively ignored." you draw some odd conclusions from a handful of developer posts. the conclusions you draw from a few programmer posts is no more compelling than divinations from digging in the guts of rabbits. regardless, even if equal resources were devoted to xbox and pc, pc would take longer to develop. this has been stated unequivocally by any number of different developers from different companies. heck, if Gromnir knew that we could not get both pc version and xbox version out in time for christmas, but that by devoting more resources to xbox we could get it out in time for holiday season, we would not hesitate to do so... and neither would any other rational business person. xbox accounts for more sales. if lucas or obsidian thought they could get xbox out by christmas and DIDN
-
jag, what the hell are you talking about? they originally said feb. did you complain that they were liars when they said they might make for christmas? no? no cry of
-
"NO, they want to cash in on the hefty Christmas market " duh. you expect a smart businessman to sacrifice all those potential christmas sales just so that pc fans and xbox fans would get at same time? that is insane, stupid, and juvenile. HA! Good Fun!
-
Gromnir blames all the folks who have different kinds o' hardware... you bastards. blame somebody is silly. they woulda' liked a simultaneous release, but it were never particularly realistic to expect that they would be able to do so. keep in mind that we were originally told that BOTH versions would be released feb of next year, so all this really means is that they has managed to get the xbox version out AHEAD of their original schedule. *shrug* Gromnir loves to bash lucas and obsidian and microsoft, but doing so in this case would be a bit unfair. HA! Good Fun!

... am somewhat disturbed to discover that k3 is a bears fan. seems more like a seahawks fan... or maybe the 49rs, but not the bears. HA! Good Fun!

the level system does not reward high post counts as only the most childish nincompoops would give a damn 'bout their neobis board level. HA! Good Fun!

"IMO those reasons you gave are about as thin as rice paper." conclusion w/o reason. easily ignored. "I disgaree." conclusion w/o reason. easily ignored. "And on the end of the day it matter because...? Its not as if they are you best friend who, in your eyes, lied to you. Or your world will end. If the 'truth' as you see it on a game msg forum is so vastly important I would suggest, with no insult intended, you need to get out more. *shrugs* Its really not a big deal." and so we descend into the ridiculous. using similar reasoning, there ain't much reason to post or even view these boards... 'cause your viewing or speaking on board will not cause the world to end or survive or change or whatever you currently think is important. "If you did my appologizes, I might have misread." apology provisoionally accepted. "Thats not surprising at all. You and they have a similar msg forum tone and style. Like minds tend not to disagree as much." to repeat self again, we disagree with them all the time. di and Gromnir cannot agree with di on balance or stat rolling or 1007 or any of a dozen other things... and don't even get us started on vol. if we gotta hear one more time 'bout how great arcanum was, our ears will start to bleed. HA! is right there in the part you quoted. "Gromnir disagrees with folks like Di and Vol others and it never get combative with those folks." sheesh. heck, we never got combative with puuk neither. regardless, your suggestion is patently ludicrous. take two adversarial persons and set them at odds. you suggest that such people is LESS likely to have a conflict? maybe you should take a gander at rpg codex sight. "Yes I did. Please show me where in the post I replied too is combative or a flame. I did not state I would put that person on ignore, I said I wouldnt read their combative post/ignore it. Never said anything about such posts that do not fit into that templet." sometimes your posts is harder to read than Gromnir's. but we think you is saying that no post in this thread is of they type you personally find offensive. whatever ambiguous threshold you got, whatever tolerance level you observe, it has not yet been reached. if that is so, then we not see what you is complaining 'bout. "I've been around the blocks a few too many times to be caught that easily " you think you is doing well? HA! Good Fun!
-
"Theres no need to be rude, condecending nor combative when addressing a conflicing post." sure there is... we already explained why too. "Things change. Just because one says something one day does not mean a week later it still applies." cheap answer... and not applicable. we understand that when a developer says they wanna do A, B & C, that it is possible and even likely that A, B, or C might not make it in game. got no problem with that. but a developer tells us that a game sold well on one day, then reverses self a few days later... on a different part of a board, and we is gonna get suspicious as to reasons why there were a change. a developer tells us that they was forced to make changes 'cause of license holder... then a couple days later they delete all such threads and claim that all those changes were made willingly and voluntarily and were in fact the developer's ideas in first place, and we is gonna get suspicious. tell us all kinds of things that just not fit together, and we is gonna get suspicious. if you don't, then that is up to you... no doubt developers prefer folks who simply accept everything they say. "You seem to be of the mindset its ok or even justified to flame/be combative for no other reason you disagree or do not like something that is said or done." funny, but we thought we said something quite different. we not mind somebody disagreeing with us... not one bit. Gromnir disagrees with folks like Di and Vol others and it never get combative with those folks... folks who often disagree with us. heck, we never even had a heated debate with puuk... and it ain't 'cause we always agreed with him neither. however, if somebody wants to play rough... or if they wanna be disingenuous, we is hardly bothered by a little flame or two. "As if I was a dev posts such as you advocate I would tune out." great. good for you... but take notice at the irony. you is responding to Gromnir right now, ain't you? you ain't tuning us out. you wanna prove your point more than you wanna live up to ideal espoused. other posters and developers is no different. HA! Good Fun!
-
'cause the mods not mind an off-topic thread that is kissing obsidian arse. 'course, truth to tell, there ain't really all that much traffic here... so moving threads ain't all that big a deal. HA! Good Fun!

"Sadly its attitudes like this that end up spoiling the forums in the long run." funny but we would say that it is as much the developer tendency towards mendacity and their unnecessarily taciturn natures that lead to such stuff. some developer tell us one thing on Tuesday, and we see
-
we don't mind when the developers get worked up... heck, sometimes the only way to get useful info is to prod a developer until they let the REAL details slip. people let their guard down when they gets angry or frustrated... and Gromnir surely ain't gonna criticize a developer too harshly for becoming agitated when our intent were maybe to agitate.
-
in our experience, bard and druid is too close to call. rl musicians sometimes feel compelled to play bards in game, and if we got some of those granola eating, birkenstock wearing, elf-lovin', earth mother types, they plays druids... but most normal folks avoid both classes. Gromnir rarely sees a druid played well... which is a shame 'cause some of our most favorite quests/adventures has been designed with druids in mind. HA! Good Fun!

but then again, maybe they'll be hot party chicks!? uh, you are a dude, right? taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hot party chicks at someplace called California Baptist University? is possible, but for some reason we find the notion... disturbing. our short-lived career in academia was actually quite enjoyable. good luck to eldar. HA! Good Fun!

a few months ago, one of the developers mentioned the masked freak, and used a masculine pronoun to describe. HA! Good Fun!

am not a "sw geek"... the lowest of the low. give tech specs on han solo's ship n' such? *shudder* besides which, we tend to think that being a geek is more 'bout what you do when you ain't talking 'bout games. but that might just be our vanity speaking. you wanna guess what kinda person Gromnir is beyond the boards? is a pointless endeavor. "Your right your not a geek at all(sarcastic)... " better not let tpq hear you say such things. to stay on-topic... we got no problem with creating two separate power groups from the force-wave/whirlwind thing. maybe tier 3 of whirlwind power would capture multiple targets... but have an area of effect much more limited than force wave. HA! Good Fun!
-
we had our cat fixed. good 'nuff for you? in any event, coming from some sw geek whose grammar ain't exactly perfect, we find such a suggestion... amusing. relative to other 3rd-tier powers, a multi-whirlwind force ability would probably end up being too powerful. 'course, balance obviously were not a primary concern for the biowarians. is possible that the obsidians is taking a similar approach. HA! Good Fun!

and Gromnir were listed as 5'11" in the press guide. HA! as to american psycho... bale were cut... is not same as buff. anybody can get cut if they do lots of crunches and quit eating or drinking for a month. in american psycho, bale looks hungry more than he looks buff. point o' reference: evander holyfield, a natural cruiserweight, has shown up at heavyweight championship weigh-ins anywhere from 200 to 220lbs. he is 6'2.5" HA! Good Fun!
-
you gotta be a twerp to fit the suit. shoulda' found somebody who weren't a twerp, and then they wouldn't need the damned suit. we know bale is english, but he should look more like an american football player as 'posed to an english footballer if he is gonna play batman. and if christian bale is 6'2" (HA! these guys lie worse 'bout their physical stats than does the aforementioned football players,) he sure ain't 200+lbs, is he? HA! Good Fun!
